Hi! We are Barry and Kande.

After years of infertility we are very excited to adopt our first child.

We are best friends and we are always joking around with each other. We are an informal, happy, fun couple who enjoys hanging out at home, working out at the gym, tennis, going to the movies, and scuba diving.

We have wanted to raise a family together since we started dating, and the time could not be better to bring a child into our lives. Though our years of infertility were challenging they only brought us closer together, deepened our love, and made us who we are today - a loving couple with open hearts, ready to add to our family through adoption.

About Barry
To sum it up Barry is a great guy! I knew that I would marry him right away. He is such a sweet and loving husband, and he is always making me laugh with his "goofy" jokes and comments. I am thankful that God blessed me with such a great person to spend my life with. His main goal in life is to be the best husband and father he can be.

Barry is what you would call a "kid magnet." I see it happen over and over, kids just enjoy being around him. Barry is not only uncle to his own nieces and nephews but he is also called "Uncle Barry" by all of our friends' children. I know he can't wait to bring smiles to his own child's face the way he does to so many other children.

Barry works as a tennis-pro and he teaches lots of different aged children how to play tennis. He really enjoys that part of his job. I'm sure that he will be shopping for a Playskool tennis racket as soon as your baby can hold one.

Besides tennis Barry also enjoys playing many other sports but golf would have to be his favorite. He can't wait to take his child along to be his new golfing buddy!

How do I know Barry is going to be a terrific father? I've seen him interact with so many children over the years that I have no doubt he will be a very fun-loving, caring and nurturing father.

About Kande
Kande is going to be a great mom! How do I know this? I see her motherly instincts at work when our nieces and nephews are with us.

When they are visiting, she is cooking special meals for them, taking them shopping, playing games, and going out to eat at their favorite restaurants. Kande will add as much love to her child's life as she has to our family's.

Kande is a registered nurse and she works with some of the best heart surgeons in the world. If our child ever needed any special medical attention they would get the best care available.

Kande loves to decorate and renovate our home. When arriving home in the evening, I never know what new project she will be starting. She has made our home comfortable, casual, and inviting.

Kande's LOVE for animals is another reason I fell in love with her, (she routinely takes needed items to our local animal shelter). I know she will teach our child all about caring for God's creatures.

Playing board and card games is something that we both enjoy, but Kande is crazy for them. You mention any kind of game and she is THERE. We already have the game "Chutes and Ladders" ready for action.

Our Pets
We have two dogs, Katey and Maggey, the most spoiled dogs on the planet. They tag along with us just about everywhere we go and we know that Katey and Maggey can't wait to include your baby in our family trips; we will have so much fun.

As a family we know that we will always have pets around. We believe that pets teach children about responsibility, in ways that other things can't.
