Dear Birthmother,

Hi there! We hope you are feeling and doing well. We are Heidi and Bret from Minnesota-and contrary to what most people think, it actually only snows here for about 2-3 months of the year! We are excited to be on this journey of adopting our first child.

About Us
We have been together for 6 years and we continue to fall more in love as time goes on. Our commitment and honesty to each other, to our family, our goals, and to God is the foundation of our lives. We are a young Christian couple and are ready to start our family. Every day when we take the time to connect with each other, we pray for our future baby. It's an amazing feeling to feel such love for a child we have not yet met.

We love to travel within the U.S. and overseas. We frequently attend sports games and enjoy watching college, high school, and tee ball level games. We visit museums, art shows, and attend musicals and plays. We love to try new restaurants, listen to new local bands, and are always searching for new activities to try. It is important to us, and for our child, to be exposed to various diverse activities and cultures our world has to offer. We feel it is our job as parents to expose a child to the beautiful differences our world is filled with to instill a strong appreciation for diversity.

The Love of My Life, Heidi
Heidi's bumper sticker would read: "loves life!" Her warmth and kindness exude from her, and a person can instantly tell she is special. Heidi has taught me to always look outside the box for a different perspective. Heidi is currently in her first year of doctorate school, pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology. She is creative and spends time painting, on her pottery wheel, and taking photographs. She is an advocate in our community on many social justice issues and volunteers her time organizing and hosting fundraisers on topics like homelessness, discrimination, and poverty. Heidi is fortunate enough that we are financially secure so she does not have to work while in school.

My Best Friend, Bret
If I were to write a book about Bret, it would be a bestseller titled "Yes, He Really is This Wonderful." His devotion and unconditional love for me are incredible and we are a wonderful balance. Bret loves sports of all kinds. He played college basketball and still plays in a league in our community. Bret enjoys listening to music, doing projects around the house, and swimming in our pool. Bret cannot wait to become a dad and tells everyone we are adopting. He can't go anywhere without bring home something for the future baby!

Bret works full time in the Medical Device field. He has a college degree in both marketing and business management. Bret is a very hard worker, but knows how goof around. He does not measure success with material things, but understands family is what will make him the most successful and happy in life.

Our Home
Our three story, four bedroom, four bath home is ready for a child. We have a huge backyard that includes an in ground swimming pool. Even though we live in the suburbs, we also wanted to be close to city life. We are only fifteen minutes from downtown, so it's the best of both worlds. There are many kids in our area and tons of parks and activities. It just may be the best trick or treating neighborhood around!

We believe God has led us to cross paths with you as you consider adoption for your baby. If you would like, we are open to sharing letters, pictures, and future visits so you can be assured your baby is being cared for by the right people. The talents and gifts you passed on to your baby at birth will be nurtured, encouraged, and celebrated. We will love and support your baby so they will develop into the person you, us, and the Lord meant for them to be in this world.
