About Us
Our names are Chavis and Hilary. We have been married for almost eleven years and have been together for more than thirteen. We love travel, yoga, listening to music, reading, watching movies, biking and going to sporting events.

Three years after our wedding, our son Chavis III (Chas) was born. Now eight, he feels that we are good parents and can be again because of our love for each other, our love of life and our focus on growing him to be a good person.

About Chavis by Hilary
Chavis is a great father. He is an extremely hard worker, yet is able to maintain a balance with his job and his family. His ability to prioritize family time and still be an excellent provider is one of the many things that I appreciate and love about him. Chavis sets high goals for himself, and will check them off once he has achieved them. Having participated in both high school and college football and track, he is extremely active and strives to maintain his physical fitness.

I am truly blessed to have someone like Chavis to love and spend my life with. While disciplined and driven, he is always open to new experiences and never makes anyone feel less than anyone else. I am grateful that our son has such a wonderful father, who revels in all of his events and who I know is more than ready to do the same with our next child.

About Hilary by Chavis
Hilary is an outstanding friend and mother whom I feel honored to call my wife. She lives life with a passion that allows her to make even strangers feel like they know her. She loves jobs and projects that do not constrain her ability to make an honest and direct impact on people. When our son was born, she left her position as Director of Alumni Affairs to attend to our growing family. She attended mommy-and-me classes, swimming classes and sought out every opportunity to expose our son to creative and educational experiences. Hilary is truly a great mom and someone that I know has more love to give to another child.

About Chavis III (Chas)
Chas is eight years old and is an extremely active, happy and well-rounded little boy. He enjoys art and playing all sports, and is also well on his way to becoming a great pianist. He loves reading books and his favorite subject is math, followed by recess. He is really looking forward to having a new sibling and has already started to set aside some of his favorite toys and games that he feels are important for the new baby to have.

About Our Home and Community
We live in a four-bedroom home in a great neighborhood in a small town in Missouri. We literally live in a neighborhood where everyone knows each other and looks out for one another. More specifically, our home is an all brick, ranch style dwelling. It has a great loft office with a piano and an oversized couch that proves better for sleeping than reading. We have a large basement where we usually go to watch movies and play games, as well as a shaded backyard for lots of outdoor activities.

About Our Faith
Both of us come from a solid Christian upbringing and have strong beliefs in God. Our son attends a Catholic school, where Hilary volunteers on a regular basis. We also participate in church fundraisers and support members of our congregation during difficult times with finances, clothing and/or food.
