Dear Birthmother,

We are David and Lea Ann and we’re excited to welcome another child into our family and our hearts through adoption. Thank you for taking the time to get to know more about our family.

Our marriage is based on love, trust and mutual respect. We encourage and support each other, actively listening and working together. We enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming, gardening, bicycling, golf and spending time at the beach with our family and friends. We also enjoy traveling, live theatre, music, and experiencing all that life has to offer. These are all things we are excited to share with our children.

Education and Careers
We both have earned advanced educational degrees and believe in the importance of education. David has his Master of Social Work and enjoys his career working with community facilities. Lea Ann has her Master of Business Administration and has her own business as a marketing consultant. We plan to have a college fund for our children that will allow them to find their talents and achieve their dreams.

I love Lea Ann very much. She has many qualities that make her a wonderful partner for life as well as a great mother. Lea Ann is very loving, kind-hearted, and caring. She is supportive, affectionate, and provides a loving environment for our family. Lea Ann enjoys reading, cooking, decorating our home, gardening, and entertaining guests. Lea Ann is very passionate about her business, but has reduced her work time to raise our child.

David makes me laugh! David is a kind and thoughtful person who is also great fun to be around. He has a fabulous sense of humor that fills our home with laughter and reminds everyone around not to take themselves too seriously. He tells me he loves me many times a day; but more importantly, he shows me that he loves me. David is a fabulous father, my life partner and my best friend. He’s caring, easy-going, generous and smart. David enjoys golfing, cycling, and listening to a variety of music.

About Matthew
We were blessed to adopt Matthew to start our family. He’s a wonderful, happy, healthy, curious toddler who has a smile that melts hearts. His favorite things right now are his toy trucks that he drives throughout the house making the “vroom” sound. Matthew is always on the go but loves to curl up in one of our laps for his bedtime reading. Our happiest times are when we’re doing activities together as a family.

Our Home and Community
We live in North Carolina in a two-story traditional home with plenty of room for our family to grow. We have a big yard and a pool with a fence around it. Our neighborhood is culturally diverse and filled with children. We love to fill our home with family, neighbors, friends, and fun at every opportunity. Whether a pool party, roasting marshmallows in our outdoor fireplace, or gathering in the dining room for a holiday celebration, we fill our home with love and laughter.

Our Extended Family and Traditions
Our extended family is a huge part of our life. Our nieces and nephews enjoy spending time with us doing many activities. Family comes first for us: before career or any other activity. We grew up with strong values and traditions about family. We were taught about faith and spirituality, respect, kindness and most importantly, compassion for others. We want to share these same values and traditions with our children.

One of life’s greatest gifts is the ability to love unconditionally, and this is our lifetime commitment to you for your precious child. We will provide a safe, loving environment where she can grow, learn and thrive. Raising a family is most important thing in our lives and this is the beginning of a journey that will be filled with joy, love and happiness.
