Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and letting us give you some insight into our life. It will be with great excitement and joy to welcome our first child into our loving home through adoption.

Our Story
We met in church where we became friends and then soon after began dating. We were married in our home church in front of family and friends.

We both enjoy the outdoors, such as riding bikes and going to sporting events. We mostly go to NASCAR races, or baseball games to watch the Astros. We often go to a local lake where we have BBQs, ride jet skis, and watch the sunset on the lake.

We attend a small Baptist church where Valerie sings on the praise team and teaches the three and four year olds in Sunday school. David often participates in neighborhood outreach and mission trips.

We are excited about sharing our lives as parents and including our child in our favorite activities, as well as starting new ones as a family.

About David
I fell in love with David's good heart and loving nature. He is a devoted Christian. Although as a police officer he is responsible for enforcing the law, he tries to be a positive example and influence with his co-workers and the community. He believes in what he does in all areas, especially in his relationship to the Lord.

David likes to spend his off-duty time outside. David enjoys target practice, and recently became a certified firearms instructor: he's big on promoting respect and safety in the sport. When it's time to relax, David can usually be found watching the History Channel or reading a spy novel.

David is also a big kid at heart. He is known to be seen playing ball or frisbee with kids at church. David really cares for and reaches out to his family and loved ones. He is going to be a great father.

About Valerie
She is everything that I hoped for in a wife. She's an attractive, Christian woman, raised in the country. She loves children and has a loving concern for her family, friends, and all those she is close to. She really has a heart of gold when it comes to children. As a teacher, she believes in teaching life lessons such as morals, values, and a high work ethic, as well as required academics. Valerie is often the first to help someone is in need, or assist with a family or church event.

Valerie loves to read and relax. She loves scrapbooking photos from vacations and family outings. Valerie especially enjoys Christmas time decorating the house with her "Snow Village" collection and celebrating family and Jesus. I know that she will be great mom.

Our Home
Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood in a suburban area 20 miles from a major city in Texas. We have a three bedroom home with a large living area to spend family time. Our area has several elementary schools and parks with playgrounds, where we look forward to playing with our children.

"The pet," Sugar
We have a big 'ol tabby cat named "Sugar". Sugar sits around a lot, but she's always right there, being affectionate when something is wrong as if she can sense it.

Our Family
Two great sets of grandparents can't wait to welcome our child. Valerie's parents are retired and live in a nice large house, in a small country town. They are very generous and loving. David's parents live nearby. They also have a weekend home near the lake, where we spend many weekends. They are active in the same church we attend.

There are plenty of aunts, uncles, and cousins around to surround a child with love.
