Dear Birthmother,
We are eager to adopt and we feel our experience working with children will help us be strong, patient, fun parents. We have wanted to have children for the last four years, but have been unable to do so. We know firsthand the joy and blessing of adoption since Francine's sister was adopted and we can not imagine life without her. We are ecstatic to share our love for the outdoors and the spirit of life in all things. We are open to any amount of contact you would like.
Our Life Together
Although we graduated from the same high school, we did not meet until our career paths crossed. Frank was working security and coaching football and Francine was teaching in a special education class. We were friends for many years before we started dating. We were married on a beautiful sunny day in 2000 on Frank's grandmother's birthday and honeymooned in Nicaragua. It was a great adventure to begin our journey of life together as husband and wife.
Our Activities
We are both very active people taking care of and enjoying our horses, dogs, and cat. We love to ride our horses to the state park up the hill from our house and explore our scenic state. We visit a new location in Alaska every summer solstice during a camping trip we take with our horses and dogs and a new location in the world during spring or summer break. Lots of time in the summer is spent at our cabin on the Kenai River and fishing on the river and on the ocean. In the winter, we downhill ski, snowmobile and love to ride the horses through freshly fallen snow.
About Francine...
Francine will be an outstanding mother and supporter. Her nurturing spirit is evident as she works tirelessly teaching special education students as well as taking care of our pets.
Francine enjoys riding our horses, dog mushing, and hunting. She also enjoys reading and is always quoting some new and exciting excerpt. She now looks forward to taking a leave from her current teaching job and being a stay at home mom and I look forward to sharing parental responsibilities with her.
About Frank...
Frank is a generous and loving soul who is encouraging to all. Frank shows his love for his family by being available to take care of any crises and by the gifts he gives whether for a birthday or just any day. Rarely is there a time when a former student, player, parent, or colleague does not come up to greet him.
Frank is passionate about fishing, hunting, and playing sports. He also likes watching sports and supports the teams at his school. He will be an exceptional father and I look forward to observing and being part of the relationship he will have raising a child.
Our Home
Our house is one of our blessings. The acre and 1/4 is completely fenced, has a barn, paddock, small arena and large dog kennel. There are four bedrooms, three baths, and an incredible view of the Alaska Range and the city. Francine decorated the nursery which is attached to the master bedroom, in pink and baby blue. She stenciled bear and moose and painted words we live by: "hope, dream, imagine, and believe."
Our Families and Faith
We are fortunate to have many of our family members living within miles. We ride our snowmobiles to Francine's dad's cabin in the Alaska Range and fish with him, his wife, and grandson they are raising. Frank's father, his wife and ourselves meet at the family cottage near Toronto, Canada. We believe in a power greater than ourselves: God, and believe God is in all and therefore respect is given to all of God's creations.
Our Vision
The both of us will provide our child every opportunity to help develop their God-given gifts and passions. We will do whatever it takes to make this happen. We give each other love, attention, support, and encouragement, we promise to provide the same to your baby. Your baby will grow up knowing because of your courageous decision they joined our family through the miracle of adoption and will know what a loving person you are for giving the gift of life in the family you have chosen.
