Dear Birthmother,

We have been a couple for almost 20 years and we married on Christmas Eve about 10 years ago. In the years leading up to marriage we both developed our careers. When we met, George was taking a break from engineering to pursue his passion as a professional musician. Henri had fallen into a career as an association professional. We spent our times listening to good music, eating great food and traveling.

About Parenting - Eles
Parenting is the most rewarding experience we know. Almost 8 years ago we were thrilled to welcome our beautiful daughter, Eles, into our family. She is a loving, smart, active little girl who can't wait to be a big sister. Our favorite activities include playing video games or watching her soccer games.

Our joy in Eles pushed us to try to have more children, but our efforts were not successful. We have seen beautiful families created through adoption. There is a saying, "Love expands to fill the hearts in need." We have the love and desire to welcome your child into our hearts.

About Neighborhood and Home
We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in suburban Northern Virginia. It's the best of both worlds in that you can walk to parks, schools, and the community coffee shop yet; the METRO that takes you to the city is a block away. Our house is a three level town home with three bedrooms and 2½ baths.

Our Faith
We were both raised in homes faithful to the word and will of God. We attend a mega-church in Maryland because although large, it feels like home. Prayer and our faith have guided and lead us to this wonderful space in time and to you.

Friends and Family
We have lots of family close by. George's parents live in Maryland. We usually see them on Sundays after church. His brother and sister-in-law live in Virginia and we see them often as well. Henri's mother lives in South Carolina; they talk everyday on the phone and visit during the summer and holidays. We have a circle of close friends; most are parents, as well. We are blessed to have the love and support of our friends and family.

"She Says" - What Henri Says About George
I am eternally grateful to God for leading me to George. Family first-is his unspoken motto. He stopped performing a few years ago, because he wanted to spend more time with our daughter. He still gets to perform, only now it's downstairs with Eles on her junior guitar.

George is a senior engineer for a defense contractor. He has worked there for more than seven years and really enjoys the daily challenges. He's also one of the smartest people I know.

George is a proponent of a healthy lifestyle. He attends Tae Kwon Do class three days a week and goes to the gym on alternate days.

One of George's best qualities is the way he interacts with children. I've marveled at how comfortable kids are with him immediately. I know George will be a good father to your child, because I've seen him excel over the last eight years

"He Says" - What George Says about Henri
Henri is a very devoted mom. She is a great example of a woman balancing career and motherhood. I am constantly impressed with how she manages school events, soccer games, Tae Kwon Do lessons, etc. I'm not talking about just writing them down on a list somewhere. She attends these events and she participates.

She has a special way with people. She makes friends easily but more than that, she is a good judge of character. As the saying goes, it takes a community to raise a child, well I don't doubt the people and environments she chooses.

Henri loves to read and to read with Eles. Henri sets a fine example in this area. She has a way about her.
