Dear Birthmother,

Adoption is already a very big part of our family. Diane was adopted and we strongly believe that adding to our family through adoption will be a blessing for us. She was blessed both by the courage of her birthparents and the love of her adoptive parents, and we feel that by adopting a child we will be able to bring those gifts full circle. We are very excited and can't wait to start our family! Thank you for your consideration.

Our Beginning
We met during our first year of college. We dated all four years and married several years after graduation. We have now been married for more than 12 years! Our relationship is built on a foundation of faith, trust and love. We are wonderfully blessed to have each other. We have lived abroad and traveled extensively across Europe and the United States. We can't wait to introduce a child to all of the things we enjoy and show them the world too!

Diane's Story
My birthparents were college students and felt that I could be better cared for by another family. I thank my birthparents for being unselfish enough to put my needs first. I am richly blessed with a very loving family. At the time of my father's passing, my parents had been married 38 years and provided a wonderful example of how to have an enduring marriage and raise a happy family. I am kind, giving, compassionate and very friendly! Combined with my Bachelor's degree, I have used these gifts to establish a career in human resources. I enjoy music, long walks, cooking, volunteering and watching movies. Hendrick is a true Godsend and has been the best husband ever! He not only cares for me, but also loves my family as if it were his own. He is generous, thoughtful and incredibly supportive. I can't imagine not having him in my life.

Hendrick's Story
From my parents I learned my sense of loyalty, the importance of family and developed my strong work ethic. I am a compassionate, hard working and caring provider with a solid faith in God. Since obtaining my Master's degree, I have established a career as an operations executive with a large corporation. I love watching and playing sports, reading, taking walks and completing home projects. We are ready to accept the gift of your child as a blessing and simultaneously give all that we have to ensure a full and abundant life. Upon meeting Diane, my first impressions of her were of someone extremely caring, genuine and centered in family and faith. After 12 years of marriage these same attributes are the reason I love her today as much as I did when we first met. Diane is my rock and very best friend!

Our Family
Our family is comprised of a wonderful mix of heritages - African American, Native American, Caucasian and Latino. We are as diverse as we are loving. We share the same value system and priorities - faith and family. We have strong Christian beliefs and we look forward to teaching our child the principals that were instilled in us at an early age and have guided us successfully through life. Our family and friends are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a child for us! This will be the first grandchild and everyone is thrilled at the news that we will be adopting.

Our Home
Our community offers access to the best schools, a great arts program and a strong economy. Our city is vibrant yet offers a small town value system. We believe in saying "hello" as we walk past strangers and hold doors for each other. We have a five bedroom/five bath home in a very nice gated community with a playground and lots of children. It has a media room for watching Disney movies and a huge bonus room that can be used for playtime. With a large front and backyard, it is perfect for cartwheels or playing football.

Our Future
We are open to tailoring a communication plan that meets the needs of everyone. We look forward to raising a family focused on faith, family and education. We are committed to being an example to our child, as God would have us be. We hope that you will consider allowing us to fulfill this promise.
