Dear Birthmother,

We are Julie and Jeff. We have been together since high school and have been happily married for over 10 years. We adopted our son just before he turned one, and we have enjoyed being parents even more than we had dreamed. We would love to be blessed with another child through adoption. We are overjoyed at the idea of adopting a newborn and experiencing for the first time that amazing first year of life.

We are a young, active, fun-loving family. We like to spend our time camping, hiking, walking our dogs, swimming, and traveling, both in the U.S. and abroad. We belong to a warm and loving Catholic church.

Julie, about Jeff...
Jeff is loving and compassionate and completely devoted to his family. He is always there to help his friends and family in any way he can.

He is a wonderful father. He makes everything we do more fun with his sense of humor. He doesn’t care how silly he is as long as he makes us laugh. He instills confidence in Tyler and loves teaching him new things. Jeff loves camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and playing most sports. He enjoys running and has run two marathons. Jeff has a successful career as a Marketing Manager.

Jeff, about Julie...
Julie is very loving and nurturing. Her family comes first in her life.

Before becoming a stay at home mom, she taught both Kindergarten and first grade in Catholic schools. Julie enjoys cooking, baking, exercise, tennis, and scrapbooking.

Julie, on Being a Stay at Home Mom
Being a stay-at-home mom is the most important thing I've ever done. Jeff and I decided early in our relationship that this was a gift we would give our children and ourselves. Every week Tyler and I do a variety of activities, from painting, to baking, to playing with Play-Doh. We also attend storytime at our local library and meet our friends at the park weekly. We visit hands-on children's museums and attend fun seasonal activities. Jeff and I want our children to experience as many fun things in life as possible.

About Tyler
Our five year old son, Tyler, is truly a gift from God. He is a very sweet and loving child who enjoys doing puzzles, reading books with mommy, building train tracks with daddy, and playing with cars and trucks. He helps mommy make cookies, and he helps daddy walk the dogs. When Tyler is with his younger cousins, he has so much fun playing with them and is very patient and kind. He can’t wait to have a little brother or sister to play with, take care of, and love.

Our Home
Our home in Alabama is a three bedroom, two bathroom full brick ranch with a large fenced backyard. Our sunny playroom is full of toys, games, and art supplies. Our neighborhood is very friendly and full of young families. There is a community park just a five minute walk from our home. We live five minutes away from the local elementary school. Our school system is one of the best in the state. We also live less than ten minutes from our church, the library, and our pediatrician's office.

Our Family and Friends
Julie is the youngest of five children and Jeff is the oldest of three children. Both families are very close and get together often. Several family members live in our town. Tyler has ten cousins! Our families can't wait to have a new little one to adore.

Ralph and Barkley are our two adorable beagles. We couldn't ask for better family pets. They have survived all the tugging and pulling that comes with having a young child in the house, and they love him so much they never seem to mind.
