Dear Birthmother,

Hello.  We are Jerome and Tavonia, a fun, energetic, loving couple who know that God has chosen us to start our family through the adoption process. We are best friends who enjoy traveling, karaoke, movies, bowling, taking walks in the local parks and home improvement projects together. 

Each day we are so thankful that our lives are filled with laughter, love and adventure.  We both grew up being involved in the church while having a relationship with Christ and we continue that involvement in different ministries today. 

We are looking forward to having many new experiences with our first little one!
 
My Husband Jerome
It is very hard for me to convey how amazing Jerome is.  I would like to start by saying that next to God, he is the most important person in my life and the spiritual head of our household.  Jerome is a natural leader who is selfless, kind spirited, has an amazing sense of humor and has the ability to make people smile despite their situation.  He is intelligent, analytical and committed to being and giving the best for his family everyday.

When Jerome is not working he loves outdoor activities, martial arts and music.  Whether he is competing against his dad on their golf course or running the dogs in the park he is always active.  He plays the piano, organ, drums and has been known to do some volunteer DJ’ing for family events. 

Jerome is going to make a wonderful father!  I have so much fun just watching him interact with our young cousins, godchildren and the children at church.  Their faces light up when they see him because they know that he is going to teach them something fun and exciting while playing with them.  I can’t wait to see him with our child!

My Wife Tavonia
Tavonia is my one and only Queen.  Words cannot describe all she is to me and so many others.  She is loving, very easy to talk to, wise, brilliant, and drop-dead gorgeous.  She also follows God, which makes her a true model of magnificence.

My wife loves interior design, shopping, baking, shopping, and occasionally shopping.  Beyond that, she has a special gift for children.  In fact, I am in awe of how Tavonia handles children.  Many churches have asked her to instruct their kids, and those kids love her to pieces (and are well-behaved).

One story which shows the extent of her love is when her cousin was born with a horrible disease.  Tavonia left work, moved to that city, and became the caretaker until that child was brought to health.  That little cousin adores her.  She will be even more selfless, inspiring, and loving when she gets the opportunity to raise a child of our own!

Our Home and Neighborhood
Our home is a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom, two story situated on a quiet street in a renovated area of the city.  One of the bedrooms has begun to transform into a nursery.  We are just minutes from city parks, the zoo, museums, hospitals, restaurants and shopping areas.  We have a gated backyard that will be the perfect outdoor play area. 

Our Family
We are very close to our families and they have become close to each other.  When we are all together we enjoy an abundance of laughter, food and fun.  Both of us grew up surrounded by extended family so there are always lots of stories at family gatherings.  In addition we have lots of friends who are excited about becoming aunts and uncles.  We have been blessed with a very large and wonderful support network of family and friends who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new family member.  

About Nino and King
Nino is a three year old Beagle and King is a seven month old German Shepherd.  Nino and King are very friendly and have been socialized to adults and children. 

They both love taking walks in the park because people always run up to pet them.
