Dear Birthmother,

Hello, we are Joe and Elisa and we just want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about us. We were lucky enough to be blessed with our daughter and cannot wait to welcome another child into our hearts and our lives through adoption. We love the outdoors and traveling to new places and look forward to sharing this with another child. We have always wanted more children and we want to thank you for the chance for that to happen.

About Us
We met in college through a mutual friend and have been together ever since. We have known each other for sixteen years and have been married for eleven years.

We have a great marriage. We base it on love, honesty, and the respect we have for each other. We are best friends and love doing everything together. We try to get away once a month just the two of us by going to dinner and the movies or going away for the weekend to the beach or mountains.

We always knew we wanted to have children. After several years and some medical help we were lucky to get pregnant with our daughter. We knew after having our daughter we wanted more children but problems with infertility would mean we would have to look to God for help which we believe led us to adoption.

About Elisa
Elisa has been a stay-at-home mom ever since we had our daughter and she loves it. She gets to watch our daughter grow up and be there for her when she gets out of school. Elisa volunteers in Claire’s classroom and Claire loves having her mom there when her class has parties and events.

Elisa introduced me to a lot of things before we were even married. One of those things is skiing. Elisa has been skiing since she was five and now has passed it onto her daughter.

Elisa also loves to bake and every year during the holidays she spends time with our daughter and they bake all day. If there is an event or birthday and someone needs a dessert they call Elisa and she makes it with no hesitation.

About Joe
Joe has a Master’s in Civil Engineering and works for a private engineering firm. Even though Joe loves his job, the one job he is best at is being a dad. He loves hearing our daughter yell, “daddy’s home!” as he walks in the door. When Joe gets home from work he will go out on the driveway and play soccer or tennis with our daughter and it is his special time with her.

Joe loves being a father and he shares all his interests with our daughter. He loves snowboarding, fishing, canoeing, and camping. In the summer you can find him outside barbequing and swimming.

About Claire
Claire is seven years old and is always on the move. She loves playing soccer and she plays both outdoor and indoor soccer.

Claire learned to ski but has now turned to snowboarding and hasn’t looked back. Her favorite place to be is at the beach. Claire also likes to do arts and crafts and has made some incredible things with her hands and imagination.

Our Home
We were both born and raised in California and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. We live in a gated community outside of town and when we look out our windows we see deer, rabbits, and the hills covered with oak trees

We live on a half acre lot in a single story house that has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Our backyard is quite large and has a pool, a putting green, and bocce ball court. This is where we spend our summers.

Our Faith
We were both raised Catholic and continue to follow our faith by attending church on a regular basis. Claire attends the Catholic school in our parish as will all our children. We believe children are a gift from God and look forward to sharing our faith with each of our children.
