About Us
We met in college and have been sweethearts ever since, recently celebrating fifteen wonderful years of marriage. Before we began dealing with infertility, we talked about adopting, and feel this is the way God has lead us to start our family. We believe that adoption will make our family richer and we look forward to the day that new little person comes into our lives.

Our favorite activities include traveling, gardening, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. We cannot wait to include our child in these adventures!

About Joel, by Nan
Joel is the love of my life; truly my Knight in Shining Armor. He is my best friend, my greatest cheerleader and encourages me to be the best person I can be! Joel has a smile that lights up a room, and he makes me laugh. Not only does Joel encourage me, he is a wonderful listener and has a warm, rich heart.

One of the things I admire about Joel is the summers he spent as a counselor at a Christian boy's camp. He has a special interest in helping youth learn about the Lord and His desires for them. Although he is no longer a camp counselor, he draws on those experiences and has taken an active role in developing youth leadership in our city.

Joel also enjoys sports. His favorites are college football and basketball and professional baseball. He enjoys being active himself and particularly likes to run and bicycle. Our child will have an active life with Joel encouraging them to try new things. I know that Joel will be a wonderful Dad and friend!

About Nan, by Joel
Let me tell you about my love. I met Nan when were in college and involved with the Baptist Campus ministry. Everyday I thank God that He brought her into my life. Nan always looks for the positive side of life. She is the one in our marriage that remembers that we must have faith in God's plan for our life.

Nan also has an adventurous spirit that I believe comes from her parents encouraging her to be inquisitive and to believe that all things are possible. Nan is always exploring new avenues and interests, which keeps our marriage interesting. Her eclectic tastes have led her to biking, sewing, painting, guitar playing, home improvement projects, landscaping and Spanish lessons.

Ever since I've known Nan she has always been about family. She comes from a large extended family that is always there for special events and occasions. As family historian, Nan has passionately dug into old records and sought out distant relatives to better understand our family's values and faith.

She is not just about our past, but about our family's future. I am continually inspired by Nan's passion, faith and adventurous spirit. I know that Nan will be an exceptional Mom and I look forward to her helping a child to discover life's countless wonders.

Our Family & Our Faith
We are each blessed to come from loving families. Both of our parents have been married over forty years and are good role models of love and family. We have a great time with our nieces and nephews and often make trips to be at their special events. Another important member of our family is our dog, Pie. She is playful and good-natured and will make a perfect pal for a child.

We share an abiding faith in God and take pleasure in going to church and Sunday school. We look forward to introducing our child to God and guiding them in finding His plan for their life.
