Adoptive parents, John and Marna

Dear Birthmother,

We are so excited about becoming first time parents! We have the unconditional love, patience, and support of each other, and our families. Being happily married and best friends, we share the same appreciation and respect for family, life, dreams and one another. We also share the same integrity, morals and values for daily living and a healthy life style. After many years of infertility treatments, we feel that the Lord has led us to you.John and Marna are adventurous, fun-loving people

We fell in love and were married more than 13 years ago. We are each other’s best friend first, then we are husband and wife. We are adventurous, fun-loving people who like hiking, camping, boating, tubing and water-skiing. Being active and keeping physically fit is an important part of our life that we will pass on to our children.

M is for Marna
Marna is a faithful Christian who is always optimistic, cheerful and looks at the good things in a situation or the decent qualities of a person. She has this certain type of smile and expression that you just know she enjoys life. Marna enjoys gardening and taking care of the houseMarna has always been motivated to improve herself and help others. She works out and runs on a regular basis. She enjoys taking long walks with the dogs, spending time with friends and family, gardening and feeding birds just to name a few. She has a great sense of humor; sometimes I think I even see our dogs smiling when she cracks jokes. Marna has worked with her parents who have owned and operated a family business since 1998. She loves the fact that she can work from home which enables her to be a full time at home mom.

John out hikingJ is for John
John is a very hard-working, honest man. He is dedicated to God, his job and family just to name a few. I love John’s sense of humor. No one can make me laugh like he can; his funny faces, silly dances and the way he plays with Crackers and Dixie, our dogs, is hysterical. John is dedicated to his career in the aerospace industry and has a degree from a technical school. He is currently enrolled in an aviation college, working towards his bachelor’s degree. He also is retired from the U.S. Army where he recently returned from Iraq and was recognized with a bronze star. He specialized in aviation recovery missions, training and counseling other soldiers. He has touched many lives with his wisdom, encouragement and strength. John has a natural talent for woodworking and landscaping. He also enjoys running, road trips and chasing the dogs.

Crackers, one of John and Marna's dogsF is for Family, Friends and Fun
John a large family who enjoys many family traditions and holidays. His family still lives close by and they stay in touch with each other often.

Marna has a small, loving, tight-knit family who celebrates holidays together and shares many traditions. Her parents live just down the street from her brother and sister in law.

Everyone is so thrilled about our decision to adopt and welcome the new addition(s) to the family.

Dixie, the other family petWe are excited that Marna’s brother and sister-in-law have a little girl. It will be great to have cousins around their own age. Our two dogs, Crackers and Dixie, are both American Cocker Spaniels. They are great companions for each other: playful and very affectionate.

John and Marna's home has a ton of trees and wildlifeH is for Home & Our Neighborhood

Our home in the trees is a one-story brick home with house with three bedrooms and two baths on an acre of land. It has a ton of trees, not to mention all the squirrels, birds and wildlife. Our community has acres of beautiful parks, trails and well-maintained playgrounds and a swim park with slides.
