Dear Birthmother,

What can we say with a photo and a few words to help you know us? How do we tell you how excited we are to have a second child join our family? It will not be easy, but we would like to start by first saying, thank you for reading our letter.

We are John and Peggy and we have known each other forever! We met when we were teens, dated during high school and college and married 15 years ago. In 2004, we adopted a beautiful baby girl, Ciara, who brings us more joy then we ever imagined possible. We can't wait to adopt again. We are an outwardly affectionate family, and have a lot of fun teasing, tickling and playing. We never end a phone conversation or leave the home with out an "I love you". We are Catholic and our children will complete the Holy Sacraments. Religion is very important and we will teach our children about God and the blessing that brought them into our lives.

About John by Peggy
John is my soul mate and my best friend. He is very loving and dependable and is one of the funniest people I have ever met. John is the youngest of seven kids and was brought up to value family first. He has been in management for the Postal Service for the past ten years and works five minutes away. He is off every Monday and home every day by lunchtime, so he has plenty of time for his family. I have known John for more than half my life and knew he'd make a great father, and I was right. From reading books with Ciara to saving for college educations, he has been amazing. I know that he will just be crazy about another baby.

About Peggy by John
Peggy radiates such warmth that people are drawn to her and is really funny without ever trying. Peggy is the middle child with an older brother and younger sister. She is very close to her family who we see often. She currently is employed by a consulting firm and often works at home. She will take a leave after the baby is born and may return later on a reduced schedule. She is an amazing mom and great at the little things, like smothering our daughter with kisses and playing games. She is also aware of all the important things regarding learning and development. She is never afraid to be silly and never tires of playing with our daughter, she can't wait to have another baby to love.

Ciara by Both of Us:
Ciara is an energetic, fun, loving two and a half year old, full of personality and light. She is quick with a hug and loves to be around adults, other children, and our two dogs Deione and Brandy.

She is very talkative and expressive and just lights up our lives. She too is excited about having a baby join our family and can't wait to be a helper.

Where We Live and Where We Play
We own a beautiful four bedroom home in Pennsylvania. Neighbors are close by, children play right outside our door and there are lots of things to do. We have many BBQs and get togethers with the neighbors, many of whom are close friends. We live 30 minutes from John's family and 5 minutes from Peggy's. We think it is a great place to raise a family.

We are fortunate that we get to vacation often. We visit Disney often and also love the New Jersey beaches. Going "down the shore" is a tradition and every year we get together with family and spend 10 days just relaxing. We love taking long walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean and sunbathing. Ciara and her little cousins make sand castles during the day and ride the amusement rides at night. We simply could not have a summer without the shore.
