We are an active, biracial couple who find great joy in being parents. We’ve been happily married for almost ten years, and our lives just keep getting better. When we began our journey together, we both envisioned having several children to share our lives with. Four years ago we were blessed with our daughter Kaitlin. After several miscarriages and fertility problems, we realized that adoption is the path we are meant to take in order to realize our dream of a larger family. We can’t wait to adopt our second child.

About Jon
Jon is a kind, gentle, generous, and caring person. I am blessed to have him in my life as my husband and best friend. Jon loves to work on home improvement projects and there is always a new project waiting in the wings. Jon also enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, working out, and travel planning.

He is hardworking and dedicated to being the best husband and father he can be. There is no end to his capacity to love, protect, and nurture those close to him. He always puts his family first and we feel very secure in his love.

Jon’s first thought is to always focus on the best in everyone. And because of this, he also brings out the best in me. He brings a sense of calmness and completeness to my life.

About Edel
Edel is a wonderful person, wife, and mother. In addition to being loving and supportive, she is a caring, compassionate, and thoughtful person. She enjoys reading and writing, music, art, and exercising. She is very smart and perceptive, and often comes over to give a big hug when she can tell that you’ve had a bad day.

She is very organized, and keeps the house and family running smoothly. She adores pets and children, and one of her favorite pastimes is spending time with Kaitlin and her friends working on arts and crafts projects and helping them learn new things.

Her sense of humor and her smile brighten any room she graces. She loves to get silly with us, and to dance or sing when something catchy comes on the radio. My life is immeasurably better, just by having Edel in it. I can’t imagine a better or more loving mother.

About Kaitlin
Kaitlin is a sweet-natured, happy little girl who is a joy to be around. She is a friendly and considerate child who shares very well with other kids. She absolutely adores cats and wants to be a vet when she grows up. Kaitlin is a budding artist who loves to draw, color, and paint. She also enjoys dance, karate, gymnastics, swimming, and ice skating.

Our Home
We live in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood that has a park and a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon school a short walk down the street. Our culturally diverse Texas community is less than an hour away from the major zoos, aquariums, museums, and other cultural attractions that we enjoy visiting.

We own a spacious two story, five bedroom, three and a half bath home with a living room, family room, dining room, and a play room full of toys. We have a large enclosed back yard with a sturdy swing set and a pool with a safety fence.

Our Family
As a family, we love to make each other laugh and enjoy spending active time together: walking around the neighborhood, playing in the pool, or visiting parks, zoos, libraries, and other local attractions.

Our families are very important to us and we enjoy visiting with them. There are always lots of stories, laughter, food and fun when we get together. Our entire family, including grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends are eagerly awaiting another child and are ready to shower our new addition with love.
