Dear Birthmother,

We are excited! Thank you for taking some time to give us the opportunity to share with you a few things about our life and our family. We are a loyal and committed couple who are looking forward to sharing our love with a new addition to our family. We hope that you learn enough about us to feel comfortable with allowing us the GREAT opportunity to raise your child.

We first met eleven years ago. We both were youth leaders at our church. We dated for three years and nearly eight years ago we were married. We are a couple that God has truly put together. When we stated our vows to stay together we took every word to heart. We are committed to each other for life.

We enjoy a variety of activities. We like playing and watching sports, riding bikes, flying kites, barbequing in the back yard and splashing in the pool. Our favorite sport is basketball. We both played in school.

We love to travel. There is a large world out there and piece by piece we would love to see as much of it as we can.

A family with children is very important to us. We began talking about family before we began to date. We probably would not have dated each other if our feelings about family were not the same. We desire to have more than one child in our family. Unfortunately we have not been able to carry a second child to term.

My wife, Zandra, is a very kind hearted, loving, caring wife, who I am so happy to have married. She is everything that I need in my life and most of all she has been a wife first to me and then a mother to our son. Zandra has been at my side throughout our marriage to encourage and support my endeavors while putting her own interest on hold. She is the kind of wife that every husband would want.

The first thing that you notice about Joe (my husband) is his smile. It is hard to believe that he never wore braces. His perfect smile is a gift from God. I also see my husband as a gift from God. He is not perfect but I know that he is perfect for me. He is a happy, easy going person. He has a good sense of humor and he is known to play a prank or two. He is a good father and an excellent role model. Our son constantly looks to him for guidance and direction.

We have one son. He is currently five years old. He is very social; he loves to play and laugh with other kids. Every week he asks, "Why is Jesus taking so long? I want my baby sister/brother to hurry up and get here." He constantly talks about how he will help take care of his sibling and how he will teach them many things like how to write their name and to catch a ball.

We each have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Accepting Jesus into our heart was the best decision that we have ever made. We have been members of our church for over 12 years. Our church is multi cultural. It is filled with family and friends who dearly love and support us. Zandra is the children's choir director and Joe is involved with the men's group. There are many families and lots of children that attend weekly.

We both love our families very much. Joe is one of eight and Zandra is one of five. We live in a five bedroom, three bathrooms, two story home that is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in California. We have a large yard and a beautiful swimming pool. Our family and friends frequently stop by to take a dip. Our neighborhood is culturally diverse. Asians, Hispanics, African Americans and Caucasians all live on our street. From our yard you can look up at the mountains and see rabbits, deer and other forms of wild life.

We want you to feel comfortable with us. We also want you to be confident that we will take good care of your child. We promise to provide your child with a home and life filled with unconditional love and protection.
