Dear Birthmother,
Hello! Thank you for considering me as you plan for your baby’s future. I have always wanted to become a mother and I always wanted to adopt a child, even if I had biological children. I have a close family and they are very excited about my plans to adopt. I look forward to getting to know you and your hopes for your child.
My Family
Family is important to me and I believe in the African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child.” I grew up with two loving parents. My mother and I are very close and always have been. She has been my rock and my biggest cheerleader throughout my life. My parents were always there for me. The type of supportive unconditional love that I was raised with is the type of love that I will embrace and raise your child with as well.
My brother is very active in the lives of his children. I have three nephews and one niece and this summer all four of them are coming to stay with me for a week. I can’t wait to spend time with them. I have enjoyed being there for his family.
I was raised very closely with my two cousins who are like other brothers. They are truly a blessing to all who know them and we all go on vacation together at least once a year together.
I thank God every day for blessing me with the family that I have. We are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but our love is evident and we are always there for each other. My family is full of good people with a wonderfully hilarious sense of humor.
My mother has decided that she will be moving to Texas when I adopt so that she can care for her grandchild while I work. My brother is also thinking of moving to Texas so our children can grow up together.
My Values
I believe in education, which is something I will emphasize for your child. I have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's degree in Social Work. My parents instilled in my brother and I a strong work ethic.
My relationship with God is crucial in my life. My faith in God’s goodness has carried me through every stage of my life. I will raise your child in church with the knowledge of God's love for him or her.
A Little About Me
Since I was raised around boys, I enjoy sports such as basketball and fishing. I was also a “girly girl” when I wanted to be. As a child, I was enrolled in dancing school, gymnastics and music classes. I loved to get my hair and nails done (and still do!) I would love to raise a boy or a girl, and would support and participate in their interests growing up as well. I hope to raise a couple children so that they experience the same sibling bond and family ties I have been blessed with.
I enjoy going to dinner, movies, and comedy clubs. I love spending time with the many children in my life. I have five godchildren, two nephews, one step-nephew and one step-niece. I like to take them bowling, to amusement parks and water parks, or go shopping.
I love cooking for my family and watching them enjoy the meals I prepare. I also love to travel and go to plays.
I live in Texas in a three bedroom home on a tree-lined street. My house has a huge back and front yard with lots of room to run around and play. The neighborhood is quiet and is full of hard working families with good values. My neighbor has a toddler and I can imagine your child would enjoy growing up with a friend right next door.
My Promise
I am very open to exchanging letters, pictures and occasional visits with you, if you are comfortable. My promise to you is that your child will be loved and cared for by me, and my whole family. I will spend the rest of my life loving and providing for your child. He or she will lack for nothing. I promise to be there for your child and to keep my word to you.
I would love to talk with you if you’re ready. You can contact me through Lifetime Adoption by calling 1-800-923-6784. I look forward to getting to know more about you.
