Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family. We have been blessed with a nurturing marriage, a joyful daughter, and supportive friends and family. We love being parents and can't wait to welcome another child into our home through the blessing of adoption.

About Us
We met over twelve years ago and recently celebrated ten happy years of marriage. Together we like to hike, try new recipes, and entertain family and friends. We also like to travel and explore new places, but most of our time is spent close to home, just enjoying each other's company.

We regularly attend our local Catholic church and we know that God has a plan for our lives. We are committed to helping our children grow into kind, honest, and caring people who love God and have tolerance and respect for the beliefs and traditions of others.

Four years ago we were blessed with a bright and loving daughter, Kennedy, and parenting has become our greatest joy. We want to help our children develop their own interests and pursue their dreams. We look forward to being involved in our children's education every step of the way and plan to start a college fund for our new baby before his or her first birthday.

Family Time
Our favorite Saturday mornings are spent relaxing and reading to our four-year old daughter at a local coffee shop with a mocha or chocolate milk. On snowy winter days we like to build snowmen or make snow angels in our yard. In the summer we enjoy day-trips to beautiful Lake Tahoe beaches and trails, and for us, no summer would be complete without a trip to our favorite blackberry patch.

Our families and friends are waiting with open arms to welcome a new baby. We get together regularly for picnics, barbeques, and to celebrate holidays and special occasions. When our families are together, we have fun playing all types of games, from Scattergories and Hearts to a friendly game of touch football. The kids join in the fun with games of hide and seek, Go Fish, and Charades.

About Keith, by Kara
Keith is outgoing, has a great sense of humor, and has been blessed with a gift for communicating with others. He is a well-liked psychology teacher at our local high school--it's easy for students to spot a good listener and a fun person to be around.

Keith often amazes me with bits of historical trivia. He has read several biographies of U.S. presidents, and in his lifetime he hopes to read one on every president! He also likes to spend time outside working in the yard, barbequing, and hiking or biking.

Keith is the best dad ever. He is never too busy to get down on the floor and play, and outside he and Kennedy play soccer together and set up fun obstacle courses in our yard. Not a day goes by when I don't hear Kennedy and her Daddy laughing great big belly laughs together.

About Kara, by Keith
Kara is an amazing mother. She has endless patience and a creative spirit that can make even the longest car rides pass quickly! Kara is always singing songs with Kennedy and making up stories to tell her. Some of their favorite things to do together are putting on puppet shows and baking (pumpkin-chocolate chip bread is their specialty!)

In her spare time, Kara stays active with running, playing volleyball, reading, and cake decorating-our children will always enjoy fun, creative cakes on birthdays and special occasions!

Kara works part-time as a nurse practitioner, and her patients appreciate her knowledge, skill, and compassion. Her work schedule allows for plenty of time at home with Kennedy, and soon with another child too.

About Kennedy
Kennedy is an active and happy four-year old who has a ready smile and a delightful imagination. She has recently started dance class, but she's been singing and dancing around our house ever since she could walk and talk. She is so excited about becoming a big sister!
