Dear Birthmother,

We are Ken and Cheritta.  Thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter.  We’re so grateful that you’ve chose adoption and are extremely excited about becoming parents again. Both of us can’t wait to begin providing a loving, safe, and nurturing home for the new baby!

About Us
Ken and I met nearly nine years ago and have been inseparable ever since. We knew immediately that the strong bond we shared was our respect for each other and our love of God, family and friends. Having more children was a decision we made as a family, but after three years of unsuccessfully trying to conceive, we’re hopeful that adoption will be God’s answer to our prayers.

We are extremely focused on providing a healthy environment for our children. We both have college degrees and feel strongly that higher education for each of our children is a must. We are committed to ensuring that they are given every opportunity to excel in academics, sports and any other activities they show an interest in.

Ken
Ken grew up in a close-knit family of six children, where each child was encouraged to be their own person and to follow their dreams. Ken has such a wonderful gift for bonding with children. He really believes in taking the time to listen and enjoys just spending quality time with our children, nieces and nephews. Ken grew up enjoying and excelling in sports and school. After finishing high school and college, he realized his passion for computers and has held a position with a major computer company for the past 15 years. While his position of Director of Channel Sales keeps him busy and often on the road, Ken not only makes it a priority to have date night for just the two of us, most importantly we have family day one day out of the week, where everyone gets together to share our weeks events and to do something totally fun!

Cheritta
Cheritta simply loves kids! She grew up the oldest of four children in a wonderful town in Kentucky. Always being the big sister, she helped raise her younger sisters and brother and always desired to one day have a large family of her own. Always finding time for friends and family, she really concentrated on school and had a great desire to make good grades and continue on to college. Cheritta graduated from high school at the age of 16, college at 20 and completed her master’s degree several years later. She too decided to work in the computer industry. Now a realtor, Cheritta loves the flexibility and freedom this position allows her, like working part-time from home and enjoying the opportunity to volunteer and also joining Ken on great business trips around the world. Whenever possible, we make it a family event and include the children, as well.

Our Home
Our family moved into our new home nearly three years ago and specifically chose this community because of its wonderful 5-star school system and sense of community. From the schools to the parks, to our church, neighbors, activities and weekly events, we truly enjoy living here. While our three children range in age from 14 to 22, they all love something different about our home and our community.

Ken and I really enjoy that of all the places in our 4 bedroom, 2-story home, everyone instantly chooses our kitchen and family room to gather. This is the place where birthday and anniversary parties, Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners, homework and tutoring, late-night movies and tons of family and friends spend most of their time. We’re so blessed to have these wonderful memories of love and lots of laughter.
