Dear Birthmother,

We have known since the moment we met that we are meant to be together and create a family together.

We have a great marriage and have been enjoying adventures together and with our dog, Toughy. Leslie is committed to being a stay at home parent and looks forward to fostering love, knowledge and creativity. Kevin loves the outdoors, reading and finding places for us to explore together. We look forward to becoming parents for the first time and we can’t wait to adopt.

About Us
We have been married for almost three years and have been enjoying our time together traveling, seeing on- and off-Broadway musicals, working on academic careers and having adventures with our dog.

Most of all, we just love hanging out together and enjoying each other’s company.

About Leslie (by Kevin)
Leslie is the love of my life. Since we met, I have admired her strength, love, and commitment to friends and family. When someone needs a shoulder to cry on, she is there. When a party needs to be thrown, she is one of the people everyone can depend on to throw a great one. She loves to do things that involve arts and crafts, photography, and reading mysteries. Leslie loves to cook and bake and makes it a big priority for our family to eat dinner together every night. Leslie loves going for walks and hikes and going to the beach. She has great perseverance and is a great problem solver. I know that she will make a great mother.

About Kevin (by Leslie)
My husband, Kevin, is the kind of person that makes you comfortable. He is the kindest, most compassionate man I have ever known. He always tackles any task with perseverance and I look forward to seeing him in the role of “dad.” Kevin enjoys politics, history, and is always knowledgeable about current events (this helps me when I “try” to do the New York Times crossword as well as in Trivial Pursuit). He has a goofy side, and he knows how to make me laugh. It may sound cheesy, but Kevin is my soul-mate, he balances me out perfectly; we make a great team in life and I know we will make a great team as parents.

About Toughy
Toughy is our loving, energetic dog. Since he was a puppy, we have been taking Toughy just about everywhere with us. He loves beaches, hikes and any new adventure a car ride might bring.

We have learned a lot about ourselves through raising Toughy and he has definitely challenged and strengthened our relationship. He is fully a part of our family.

Where We Live
We are fortunate to live in Northern California and are a short drive to the beach, the mountains and everything in between. We live in a simple ranch-style house in a diverse older neighborhood in Northern California. Our house is on the corner of a cul-de-sac and we have a large front and back yard.

Leslie and both of our mothers have worked hard to create a magical Noah’s ark themed nursery for our future child.

About Our Family and Friends…
We are blessed to have warm, loving families. We both have wonderful parents, and older brothers with families of their own (between them, we have two nephews and two nieces). Leslie also has a very large extended family with countless cousins of all ages, we all get together annually for a weekend of fun and fellowship. We are also blessed to have amazing friends, who are diverse in backgrounds and personalities. Kevin has established and maintained lifelong friendships through the Boy Scouts of America and his work with the national service organization, APO. Leslie has a core group of friends she has maintained for over ten years as well as new friendships through her active involvement in PEO (an organization dedicated to promoting education for women).
