Dear Birthmother,
We are a loving, devoted couple and dream about becoming first time parents. We promise to raise your child in a home filled with unconditional love, laughter, stability, and Christian values. Thanks for taking the time to get to know us; we hope you enjoy what you read.
Our Life Together
We have been married for almost six years, and together for ten. We are committed to each other, our marriage, and becoming loving parents. He’s spontaneous, she’s a planner, he’s a spender, she’s thrifty, and he’s outspoken, while she’s reserved. Our individual strengths and weaknesses are balanced by the other, and thus make us a great team.
The most important things in our lives are love for family, respect for others, and kindness. We were both raised in Christian homes and our families have always taught us to love thy neighbor. We will raise your child with love, support, encouragement, and acceptance. We value education and will encourage and inspire your child to reach their fullest potential.
My Husband, Leodis
Intelligent. Compassionate. Loving. Tender. Strong. Competitive. Trustworthy. Handsome. Teacher. Brother. Friend. Hero.
Each of these words could easily be used to describe Leodis, but they still wouldn’t be enough to honor the man I’m so very blessed to call my husband.
We met in college, and although I thought he was really cute, I was only interested in graduating. But after a dating auction, a little trickery, and a couple dates I was impressed first by his persistence, and secondly by his amazing mind.
Leodis is outgoing, funny, resourceful, and optimistic. He thoroughly enjoys anything sports-related, hanging out with friends and family, and shopping…for watches. He keeps me smiling, active, and striving to be the best ME I can be.
My Wife, Deonna
It’s not every day you get to experience the joy and satisfaction it is to be around a person like my wife. She has so many attributes that make her a good woman; best friend, great wife, and I know soon-to-be excellent mother. She is kind, loving, very smart and determined, and has a heart warm enough to comfort any soul. Your child would experience an upbringing that would allow him/her to soar as high as the sky.
I was a sophomore in college when I first met my wife and I recall one of the first things I ever said to her…”What could you do for me” (as if I had the right to do so being that I had just met her)…her response was…”I could be your mother away from home.” To me, that meant a great deal because I have a very caring mother who would do anything for me. Ten years later Deonna has lived up to every word and more. I’m honored to love her.
Our Family
Our families are extremely important to us. We are a very close-knit family. We make it a priority to spend major holidays together…where there’s always a lot of fun and, of course, good food. Friends and family alike are extremely excited we have decided to adopt and are anxiously awaiting a new addition to the family (especially our nieces).
Our Home
We live in a residential neighborhood of North Texas with several other couples raising young children. Our home has three bedrooms with two and half baths and a decent sized yard with room to grow. It is located in a reputable school district with a short drive to medical facilities and a community library. We are only twenty miles away from a major metropolitan area that offers a variety of cultural events, museums, and good shopping areas. Our city is diverse in its people and exciting things to do, which is why we have called this home for the past four years.
Waiting with open arms…
We hope this letter provides you with a better understanding of who we are and what our life is like. In the event you choose us to parent your child, we will provide him or her with lots of love, good memories, and a solid Christian background in which to build upon.
We will share our adoption story with them early in life and always let them know how much you cared about them, and how special they are.
If you like, we are open to share letters and photos with you throughout your child’s life. To speak with us further, please contact Lifetime Adoption at
