Dear Birthmother,

Hi.  We are Mark and Domonique. We have been married 9 wonderful years and were high-school sweethearts.  In this letter, we hope to share with you a look into our lives and invite you to get to know us.  We pray that we maybe able to provide a loving Christian home for your baby, whom we will cherish forever.

About Us
We are excited about continuing to build our family through adoption. It is amazing how God has already blessed us through adoption.

We are fun loving, laid back, spontaneous, active, and love spending time at home with family.  Domonique works part time as an educational consultant to families and Mark works for the family business while pursuing a doctorate in natural health.  We spend quality time with extended family on a weekly basis including trips to the family beach house, traveling, feeding the horses in the barn, and riding our motorized vehicles on Grandpa’s many acres of land.   

About Domonique
My wife is a “Proverbs 31” woman, wise and always an asset to our family.  She’s compassionate and giving. She’s the initiating and spontaneous one in the family, which complements my tendency to plan ahead. 

Because Domonique greatly values being home, she chose a career path which allows her to consult just a few hours a week on a part time basis, so that she may be home with the children on an alternating basis with me so our kids don’t have to go to daycare. Domonique is musically talented and teaches our children through music quite often.

About Mark    
My husband is a very loving and godly man.  Often times, my friends envy his involvement in daily family responsibilities, he thoroughly enjoys his children.  It’s not uncommon to see him feeding, dressing, or reading to the children.  He loves God and leads by example. 

His favorite hobbies include reading, exercising, politics, and Taekwondo.  Mark also has a very flexible working schedule which allows him to be home with our children.  We can plan activities during the week together such as going to a water park, taking bike rides, or going to the movies.  Mark’s most complimentary character trait is patience.  He is extremely patient in every aspect of life. 

About Nicholas and Lauren
Nicholas is our fun loving 3 ½ year old.  He was our first blessing from the Lord before we learned of our difficulties conceiving children naturally.  Nicholas is happy and healthy. He loves to wear his blanket like a cape and be Superman! 

Lauren is our precious sixteen month old princess who enjoys dancing to music and chasing her brother around the house. They will both make great siblings to a new baby with their easygoing personalities.

Our Home
We are in a beautiful two story brick home with 5 bedrooms.  Our neighborhood is relatively new and in an urban area close to many family activity places. 

We are excited that we will be building a new home not too far from where we are now, on land with horses and a four acre pond with our extended family that recently purchased 70 acres.  We will be in the city but have the feel of being in the country. 

Our Family & Faith
Both Grandpas are hard workers but love nothing more than to spoil and show off their grandbabies.  We are very involved in our church and have so many close friends from church that we fellowship with.  We are thankful for a family oriented church led by a wonderful pastor.  Several families in our church have adopted children.  There is much love and support for us as we experience adoption together.  We will strive to teach our children about the love of Christ and be godly examples in our daily lifestyles.

Our Hope and Promise
Our hope is that God will allow us to provide a loving home for your child.  We have a stable marriage and family and have surrounded ourselves with friends and family who support and encourage us in adoption. We know that this may be a difficult time of decision for you and pray that God’s peace and blessings are upon you. We will be happy to share pictures and letters with you if you wish. We promise to provide a loving, fun-filled, educationally enriched, and stable Christian home supported with loving friends and family to your baby.
