We are Michael and Lyn. We sincerely appreciate your willingness to get to know us by reading a little about us. We hope that in reading more about us you will learn that we are a loving couple offering a loving, nurturing environment where your child can be free to develop their every potential and help you make true the dreams you have for this child. About Us
We met while in graduate school in Kansas, fell in love immediately and married in 1995. We live in a large city in the upper Midwest.

Some of our very earliest “getting to know you” conversations were about our desire to have a family and specifically, to adopt. We know this is what we were meant to do!

About Our Family
Our immediate family consists of ourselves, two dogs and two cats. We live in a three bedroom home near a large, beautiful park and we have a fenced yard where we enjoy spending time together. We love walking the dogs through the tree-lined streets of our neighborhood, grilling and working in the garden.

About Michael (by Lyn)
What I remember from meeting Michael for the first time is his smile. WOW! What a smile! He is intelligent, funny, and witty. He is a loving husband and is always very supportive of me in whatever I choose to do. Michael has a tender soul and he expresses himself through his music and his poetry. He is also a gifted teacher, patiently but firmly helping immigrant students adapt to life in the U.S. Michael has so much to offer a child I can’t wait to watch him grow as a father! I can just imagine him playing and reading with and loving our child. Michael enjoys watching cooking shows on TV and stand-up comedy. He’s even been an extra in movies and had his own comedy gigs! Michael is also generous with his time, whether it’s building web pages for a local charity, lending his musical expertise to church concerts or visiting elderly church members, Michael can be counted on to help others.

About Lyn (by Michael)
I first met Lyn while in graduate school. The first time I saw her I was struck by her beautiful eyes. From the first time we met, I knew that she was the woman who I was going to marry. She is a caring, intelligent, beautiful person who has always been there for me, and has supported me during challenging times, and celebrated with me on joyful occasions. Lyn is a strong, determined woman with a heart of gold, and is always thinking about those around us who are in need. She is an active member of the church (as a Church Elder) and is a member of the church choir, and regularly volunteers her time and expertise to a local food shelf.

Lyn is also an accomplished at playing the violin and piano, and is an avid reader of mystery novels. She is always broadening her horizons by getting involved in church and community activities throughout the year.

Lyn comes from a large, close-knit family (with five brothers and sisters), and is very family oriented. She is a favorite aunt to all of our nieces and nephews, and loves to spend time playing and talking with them during visits. When I see how she interacts and bonds with them, it’s easy for me to imagine her being a loving, patient, and nurturing mother. A child will be truly blessed to have Lyn as his/her mom.
