More About Our Family
|
| Our Special Interests |
Michael: “I have my own line of greeting cards and I sell them on line on a web site that I built myself. They are mostly silly, but they are fun to write and people seem to enjoy them!” |
Lyn:
“I love to garden and to raise cucumbers and tomatoes which I pickle in the fall. My grandmother’s green tomato relish (cho cho) is a great gift that people enjoy since not many people make it anymore.” |
| Our Faith |
Lyn is very active in the Presbyterian church and Michael attends often. |
| Our Musical Interest |
Michael is a talented musician who plays bass and guitar and has played and recorded with local bands. He has also recorded several CDs of his own music and can often be found holding a guitar or writing new music. Lyn is also musical, plays the piano and the violin and sings alto in the church choir. Our tastes range from classical to soul and rock and almost everything in between! Our love of music is a large part of our lives. |
| About Our Home |
Our immediate family consists of ourselves, two dogs, and two cats. We live in a comfortable three bedroom home near a large, beautiful park. We live in a neighborhood of historic homes and we love to update the house; last year we completely remodeled the kitchen and converted a large bedroom with eastern light into a nursery. We have a large, fenced yard where we play with the dogs and enjoy the beautiful seasons; in the summer we practically live outside! We love walking the dogs through the tree-lined streets of our quiet neighborhood or to the park, grilling and working in the garden. We love our house and our neighborhood and feel lucky to have such a great home! |

| Our Neighborhood |
We live in a major city but in an area with a small-town feel. We have close access to the best museums, libraries and cultural activities in the country, but the children in the neighborhood are safe to ride their bikes and play in the front yards all year long. Our neighborhood is multi-cultural and family oriented. Most of the children walk to the elementary school three blocks from our home. The park, zoo, and swimming pool are all great places for families and they are only a five minute walk away! Our church, doctor and workplaces are all within 15 minutes of our home; we are so lucky! |
