About Amber by Mickey
Amber is a wonderful cook! They say that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach! Amber stole my heart from the moment I set eyes on her. Although we have had our tests in our relationship, we have stayed close and leaned upon one another for strength. Amber will never let anyone down if she can prevent it. She will go to the world's end to help someone in need. Amber's career lends itself well to motherhood. She is a high school teacher and cheerleading coach. She will have summer vacation to spend at home with our child and various other holidays as well.

About Mickey by Amber
Mickey is a kind, loving, loyal man who is my very best friend in the world. Mickey treats me with respect and the sort of affection that every woman dreams of. Mickey is so supportive of my ideas and dreams. When we found out about our fertility issues, Mickey was immediately interested in parenting through adoption. Mickey is working toward his goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. He goes golfing with his dad and uncle every chance he gets. He also enjoys learning about martial arts. Mickey loves working with dogs and he works at a local dog training facility training dogs in obedience, tracking, and defense. Mickey is just a big kid at heart-some of his favorite movies are Disney. I know that he will make a wonderful father and will share his experiences and talents with the child that we are meant to parent.

About Us
We met while attending college. Mickey's fraternity brother was a close friend of Amber's. Amber introduced herself to Mickey and the rest is history. That was almost 13 years ago. We were married in November five years after we began dating. We are best friends. We're loving every minute of our lives together!

We are celebrating our 8th year of marriage. We attribute our success to two main factors: our friendship and communication. We balance each other in areas of strengths and weaknesses. After several years of trying to get pregnant, we found that we were not going to be able to have a child biologically and immediately began thinking about adoption. We can't wait to open our hearts and our lives to a child!

Our Family
Amber's family is located in Louisiana. We go to visit them every chance we get. Mickey's family lives about five miles away. We spend every weekend together watching various sporting events and goofing off together. Our families can't wait for us to adopt a child into our family. They have been so supportive and excited about our journey to parenthood. We look forward to passing on our strong family values and creating new family memories with our child.

Our Disney Vacation Spot
Every year since we were married we have gone to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. On our honeymoon we purchased a timeshare so we could take our kids to Disney for vacation each year. So far, we are the only ones to have that fun! We are just big kids at heart and LOVE to go to Disney World. We can't wait to share this with our kids! It will be so much more fun to see Disney through a child's eyes!
