Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We are hoping and praying to soon be blessed with our first child through adoption. After 11 years of marriage, our struggles with infertility have made us stronger, and the journey has strengthened our bond.

We love spending time with each other and in the company of friends and family. Whatever we do, there's definitely an abundance of laughter! We enjoy working out, sports, travel, and home decorating. Browsing art galleries and going to concerts are other ways we like to spend time.

About Nick
I was fortunate to realize early on that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Nick. Nick is my best friend and confidant, someone I look up to and admire, and someone I can lean on anytime. He is the most genuine person I've ever met, deserving of the respect he receives from his co-workers, and the loyalty shown by his friends. Nick is supportive and helpful. He is an excellent physician, practicing gastroenterology, and his patients love him. I'm always hearing about his kindness, compassion, and warmth.

In his free time, he loves to follow or play sports, mostly baseball, golf, and football. He also loves a good meal, which is perfect in our Italian family that loves to cook! But he shares in the household work too. Cleaning the cars, doing laundry or yard work, or even washing the dishes are some of the ways he shows his love for our family. Nick is wonderful with our friends' children and has always wanted to be a father, I can't wait to hear him called "daddy".

About Laurine
I'll never forget the first time I saw "Laurie." While it was obvious then that she was beautiful on the outside, I have since learned she is equally as beautiful on the inside. She has a great zest for life which she imparts not only on me, but on her friends, family, and colleagues as well. She loves to laugh and share in others' laughter. She is a caring, dedicated, compassionate doctor and has earned the respect of fellow physicians while gaining admiration from her patients. She is strong and confident, while being sensitive and caring.

Laurie is physically fit and enjoys biking, hiking, aerobics, skiing, shopping, and much more. Her passion, however, is cherishing time with friends and family, regardless of the activity. At Sunday family dinner or out on the town with friends, her warm personality charms, while her silly side makes you laugh. She expresses her love to me in her words and in her character with such ease; I know she will be a great mom.

Our Home
We live in a gated community nestled in a city brimming with opportunity. Our home is a four bedroom, five bathroom two story dwelling overlooking a private golf course. The club has tennis courts and a pool, and the community has safe streets to walk on, rollerblade, or ride a bike. Our friends said it best when they described our home as extremely comfortable and welcoming. We love to entertain and are happiest when our home is filled with family and friends, love and laughter. Our dog Simba has plenty of room to play, prefers sleeping in the sunshine to running in it, but loves going to the nearby dog park. There are also nearby soccer fields, basketball courts, and a skate park. Many outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, and horseback riding are only a short drive away.

Our Faith
We were both raised Roman Catholic and continue to practice and live a Christian life. Our church parish is not far from our home, and also houses the Catholic school our child will attend. We feel that we are closest to God in our interactions with other people, and each day we honor God by the way we treat others with kindness and humility. Together, we have grown in our faith. Our child will be raised with a strong sense of self and awareness of others.
