Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We’re a fun, loving couple with a Christ-centered home where there is lots of laughter. We’ve been married eight years, are very much in love, and treasure every moment together. We have always planned to raise children together and are excited about adopting a child.
Angela’s hobbies include running and playing the piano, and Rick’s are writing short stories, art, and charity work. We enjoy travel, playing games, exercise, snorkeling, racquetball, photography, camping, and crossword puzzles.
Education is an important part of our lives. Whether at home or traveling, we look for opportunities to learn about the history or natural surroundings of the area. We look forward to sharing with your child all the fascinating wonder that the world has to offer and exploring new traditions as a family.
About Angela
Angela is the reason our home is my favorite place. She is always upbeat and looking at the bright side of life, and because of her, I do too. I love to watch her playing with her nephews-creating adventures with little flashlights and a dash of imagination. I can't wait to see her playing with our children someday. She will be an insightful, patient and loving mother.
Angela is one of the smartest people I know, and I count on her for planning, managing finances, and good advice. She serves on the offering team at church and hosts a Bible study regularly. Her passion for fitness keeps us both healthy and trim. She is my best friend, confidant, and soul mate. I'm lucky to have her in my life.
About Rick
Rick is the kindest and most loving man I’ve ever met. He is incredibly patient with people and has a huge capacity for love. He sees beyond people's imperfections and loves them for who they are, unconditionally. I am lucky to be the recipient of that kind of love. Rick is very easy to be around and has a great sense of humor.
Rick regularly participates in charitable building projects and spent a week helping people affected by Hurricane Katrina. His creativity combined with his heart for charity inspired him to create an Art for Charity effort where all proceeds go to a Christian charity.
Rick’s creativity is evident in every aspect of his life. He uses it to develop products at work, in home improvement projects, and while telling fables to our nephews.
Our Home
We live in Illinois, and home is our favorite place to be. It is located in a quiet subdivision with very little traffic. Our home is near a school, playground, pool, soccer fields, and indoor ice skating rink. Our suburb has an excellent school district. We have a big fenced yard that is home to squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and fireflies. Some of our favorite evenings are spent there with friends and family.
Our Family
We have been blessed with a fun, loving family who we see often. We are very proud of Rick's children – his son Glen, a college graduate advancing in law enforcement and his daughter Karen, in college studying to become a teacher. They are both excited about our plans to adopt. Rick's mom, "Mamaw,” is crazy about her grandkids and cannot wait to have more!
Angela is very close to her mom and sister. When the three of them are together, it is nonstop talking! Her parents, "Gram and Papa," are already excited about the child we will adopt. Angela’s sister has two boys, and we love being a part of our nephews’ lives.
We are thankful for our family's support. Everyone tells us how happy they are about our adoption. Your child will have a lot of love and encouragement within our family.
Our Promise to You
We promise to be the best parents that we can be. Your child will always receive unconditional love. We will encourage your child to pursue his/her dreams and will provide an environment that allows your child to reach his/her full potential. We promise that your baby will be treasured in our safe and stable home and travel life’s path to success and happiness. We are open to future contact with you though pictures, letters, and visits.
In Closing
We’d love the opportunity to talk more with you. Whatever your choice, we hope you find the right parents to love your child.
