Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking this time to learning more about our family. We live in the beautiful state of Oregon. We have been married for fifteen years. Due to infertility, we decided to build our family through adoption. Our family started with our daughter Sarah, whom we adopted at the age of seventeen months old. She is now eight and she is looking forward to being a big sister. Becoming parents is our greatest joy! Adding to our family has always been our dream. Contact with birthparents is important to us. We value education and are planning on our children being able to go to private school.

About Rick
We met through family, began dating, and it did not take long for me to know that I had found “the one." I soon knew that Rick was the man God intended for me to marry. He is my best friend, and we seem to counteract each other very well. He makes me feel secure, loved, and happy. We love cooking together, and family movie time is a favorite of ours. Rick is looking forward to our next blessing of our second child! Rick is loving, caring, understanding, and extremely compassionate. Rick’s number one priority is his family. I feel very blessed to have a husband who is there to support his family, and show his love for us everyday!

About Gina
When I met Gina it was easy to see that she was the woman for me. We enjoy the same flow to life. Gina is a loving mother; she spends quality time with our daughter everyday. Her priority is family and enjoying life. I look forward to seeing Gina as a new mom again. Gina majored in music education, and loves to share that knowledge of music with our child. Gina and Sarah sing together often, especially in the car. It is nice to have a wife who is dedicated to her family. Gina truly loves being a mom and watching our children grow.

About Sarah
Sarah is now eight years old and she is very compassionate, caring, fun-loving, and intelligent. She likes reading, coloring pictures, playing with friends, and watching cartoons as most children do. She really enjoys the outdoors and has loved learning to fish this year. Sarah enjoys learning about Jesus at school. We are thankful for the positive atmosphere at the private school. Sarah has a great desire to have a brother and sister. Sarah inquires often when her brother or sister will be coming home. I tell her when God brings us all together. She is very helpful with little children, and truly loves being around other children, but longs for a brother and sister of her own to play with.

Our Home
Our home is on the edge of a small town less than one mile from the center of town and our hospital. Our home has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The open floor plan allows plenty of room for children to run and play. We live on two acres and have egg-laying chickens, three dogs, three cats, and a parakeet. Living on a small farm allows us to have a large swing set, as well as many larger outside toys.

Family interests include going to the movies, the park, the family aquatic center, camping, fishing, going to the Oregon Coast and taking care of our animals. Christ is the center of our household; our church family is very supportive of adoption. The greatest part of life is watching Sarah enjoying everything, and we long to share all this excitement with another child.

Our goal is to provide a stable, loving, caring supportive environment for our children to grow up in. We both have always felt that it is such a blessing to be parents, and just love being a mom and dad. It is an amazing responsibility that we do not take lightly. Our strength as a family is our commitment to God, each other, and working together through everything. We are anxiously awaiting the addition of a new child into our home and lives.
