Dear Birthmother,

We are thankful to you for providing us with the opportunity for you to get to know us a little better. We have tried to start our family for some time and we are now thrilled to be adopting our first child.

About Us
We have been married for 21 years, and have known each other all our lives. We went to the same church and schools, basically growing up together. After years of infertility, and several miscarriages, we trust God led us to the miracle of adoption as a way of beginning our dream of parenthood.

As often as possible we love to take long drives in the mountains where we live. Looking at the wildlife and watching the autumn leaves change is very relaxing. Picnics at the beach and searching for seashells are also something we enjoy together. We also enjoy doing things around our house together, and since we just built a house, there are many projects to keep us busy.

About Robert
Robert is an extremely hard worker. He and his brother own the family business in roofing, contracting and farming. Robert has really become excited about farming and plans to expand the family business in that direction. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing with his brothers. Between all of them, they have several boats they like to take to lakes and the coast.

My husband Robert knows me so well. He is the greatest husband. He grew up in a big family and was always taking care of his six brothers and sisters. All of his nieces and nephews are crazy about him! He is the most compassionate person I know and has such tenderness toward me and others.

About Gail
My wife Gail is truly the love of my life. Her life-long dream is to be a mother, and I don't know anyone who would make a better mom. Gail is a great cook and has decorated our home so beautifully. She plays the piano and has written several songs and has even had one published. Music is a big part of her life.

After the baby comes, Gail plans on being a stay-at-home mom. She is talented in many things and had her own floral shop at one time. Gail will be a fun, involved mom and I can't wait to raise a child with her.

Our Home
Our home is in the mountains of North Carolina. One of the great things about our location is the closeness to both mountains and coast. We live just a few hours from the Atlantic Ocean.

Our home is just a little over a year old and has a big beautiful yard with plenty of room for playing. We live next door to some of our family and there are plenty of children and pets to play with. We have collected many things for a nursery, for either a boy or girl. Also not far from our home is a great new park with plenty of activities.

Our little dogs Chloe and Zoe bring a lot of joy into our lives. They are Border Collies and sisters. They are used to children and love to play with our niece and nephew who live next door.

Our Faith
On Sundays we attend church. The church and God's principles have always been a major part of our lives, which we look forward to sharing as a family. We are excited to participate in music and youth programs with our child at church. Gail has always been deeply involved in music, playing the piano and organ, and since Gail attended a Christian school, we plan on offering that to our child as well.

Our Families
Both of our families are so supportive on our decision to adopt. We've already been blessed to have adoption as a part of our family: Robert's sister and her husband recently adopted from another country. We have a huge extended family too, who are so anxious to give hugs and love to your precious child. All of our families live within just a few miles of each other and we get together often. There are plenty of children in the family who can't wait for another cousin.

Our Favorite Things
We enjoy listening to music together and watching old reruns of I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show. Gail loves to work in her garden while Robert is on the tractor getting ready for spring planting.
