Dear Birthmother,

We are thrilled to adopt and become parents for the first time! We are an active couple who love to travel, volunteer, and even snuggle on the couch for a good comedy. Our hearts are full of love and we are ready to share our traditions, memories, and laughter with a child. Thank you for letting us share our story with you.

Our Life Together
Long ago, in a kindergarten class we sat, unaware that we would become soul mates who would live happily ever after. We are best friends who challenge and bring out the best in each other. From traveling and being outdoors, scuba diving or volunteering, we stay active and are fun-loving kids at heart. We are Christians who believe in God’s love and salvation. We try not to worry about things, but instead pray about them and trust the Lord.

Most recently we have been to New York City to see several Broadway shows. On our trips we include relaxation along with seeing historical and educational sites. A favorite activity during our vacations is finding arcades and giving the tickets we win to an unsuspecting child. It’s so fun to see the child light up with a big smile of thanks. We love to visit theme parks and can’t wait to plan family vacations.

About Lyn From Seth…
Lyn is a nurse in the emergency room. She works three night shifts per week, which gives her plenty of time at home and a very flexible schedule. She loves photography and creates projects for others with the pictures she has taken. Lyn loves to cook and try new foods. Lyn remains active with Girl Scouts and can even be found dressing up for the occasion and leading many silly songs!

Lyn is my best friend and soul mate. She has one of the biggest hearts and is one of the most caring people that I know. I am reminded how great of a parent she will be every time our godson stays with us. She will make such a great mom.

About Seth from Lyn
Seth is a paramedic/firefighter. He started volunteering with the local fire department when he was in high school and now gets paid to do what he loves. Seth is very active and loves to spend time with family and friends. Riding his motorcycle provides a nice escape from the daily grind.

Seth is very outgoing and always able to see the bright side of things. Seth is always there for me no matter what. He encourages me with everything I do and gives me that extra push when I need it. Some of the words to describe Seth best would be funny, dedicated, giving, and considerate. He is a big kid at heart and loves to play with our nieces, even allowing them to dress him up like a princess!

Our Home
We live in the beautiful state of Virginia. Our cozy house has three bedrooms, large open kitchen and living area, and a very large yard with plenty of room to play. We even have the perfect hill for sleigh riding in the winter! Living in the mountains and near a lake provides many outdoor activities. There are trails for hiking or bike riding, and community parks for great picnics or playing on the playground.

Our Family and Friends
Our family and friends are a very important part of our life. We are fortunate that most of our family live with in 30 minutes of each other. Holidays are always a busy time! Having our families so close allows us to have big holiday celebrations. We usually end up having three to four Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas provides a marathon of stops with laughter and fun memories.

Our promise to you is that we will love your baby with all our hearts, provide for their needs, and offer safety and security. We promise to be there to listen and understand, and encourage all his or her dreams to become realities.

We are open to sending letters and pictures as often as you are comfortable with and even discussing occasional visits. You will always be honored and we promise that your child will always know how special you are to us. You will forever be a special part of our family.
