Hello, we are Stephen and Jackie. We are honored to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. We hope this profile will give you an idea of the life we have built together, and the loving home we have created for a child. We both work with kids every day, and would be honored with providing a loving home for your child.

About Us
We met in college and have been together for over 14 years. We have been married for 9 years. We are both teachers, so we enjoy being with kids, and watching them learn and grow. Stephen teaches middle school chorus and Jackie teaches special needs pre-kindergarten.

We both enjoy going to the movies, symphony and art museums. We both love to travel anywhere around the world. We also enjoy taking long walks with our dog Jack, and going to hockey games. Jackie enjoys making stained glass art, and Stephen enjoys golfing.

Adoption Has Touched Our Lives
After trying for 2 years, doctors told us it would be difficult for us to become pregnant. Our faith and family have supported us through this difficult time, and our relationship with each other and God has grown stronger. We had always considered adopting because Jackie was adopted and we took this as a sign to start the adoption process.

We strongly believe in the importance of family and faith. We feel honored to be able to raise a child spiritually, physically and mentally through adoption. We can't wait to start our family by adopting our first child.

Our Home and Neighborhood
We live in a small city in Georgia, which we feel is an ideal place to raise a family. We are close to what a big city offers, but far enough away to enjoy small town life and nature. We both work for great school systems, and our town is noted for their family-centered parks and recreation. We are close to major sports teams, universities, an award-winning symphony, wonderful museums and the largest indoor aquarium in the world.

We live in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood with wide streets to accommodate bike riders and walkers. You will see kids regularly riding their bikes and playing outside. We did not know how many kids lived in our neighborhood until we had over 300 come to our house for Halloween! Our house has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. We have just finished the playroom. Our backyard is wooded and it feels like we live in a tree house during the spring and summer. The nursery is located in the front of the house and is directly across from our bedroom. It has a lovely view of the front yard that has gardens and maple trees.

Stephen About Jackie
When I think about Jackie, I think of the word compassion. She has a tremendous compassion for children with special needs. I believe it is a tremendous talent that God has given her. She really treats her students like they are her own, constantly giving them the support and positive experience they need. Jackie will be a wonderful mother. She is the most compassionate person that I know, and I love her dearly. She is very loyal to family and friends, and always makes new people comfortable with a smile and a warm greeting.

Jackie About Stephen
Stephen is a loving, devoted husband who truly is my best friend. I could not imagine my life without him. He is a soft-spoken person who believes that actions speak louder than words. He reminds me through his actions and words that he loves me deeply. Family is very important to him, and he relies on them for guidance and support. Education is equally important to him. He was the first in his family to graduate from college, and has continued on to receive his master's and specialist's degrees.

Stephen is a wonderful husband who leads our home with mutual respect and a strong sense of faith. He will be an amazing father, and he is so excited about this special opportunity to create a family through adoption.
