Dear Birthmother,

We are Linda and Stephen, and we have been married for almost 20 years. Linda herself was adopted, and she knew that adoption would always play an extremely positive role in her life.

We had the privilege to adopt our son Drake in 2004 through Lifetime, and we are now hoping to complete our family with a baby girl.

About Us
Our family enjoys traveling. Stephen is a scuba diver, and Linda enjoys travel photography and making photo albums from our trips.

We are devoted to multiculturalism. Our children will learn about their ancestries in order to provide self-confidence and continuously enriching experiences in bonding and growing together as a family. We have friends of all races and backgrounds, and we spend a lot of time doing fun things together. A new baby girl in our home would be surrounded with unconditional love from us, our family, and our friends.

Our Home
We live in Northern California on a small, tree-lined street. Our house has a large outdoor area, an oversized kitchen, family room, playroom, and beautiful nursery with hand-painted rainforest murals.

Linda About Stephen
Stephen and I met in high school, and we have been inseparable ever since. I came to love Stephen because he is truly the kindest and most helpful person I have ever known. For fun, Stephen is a great fan of the Giants and 49ers, and he also plays softball. He often works on house projects, and he is a fantastic chef!

Stephen works in a rehabilitation department in a hospital along the Pacific coast. He finds his job extremely rewarding.

As a father, Stephen is responsible, devoted, funny, adventurous, and, most of all, loving. I adore watching him teach our son fun new activities such as T-Ball or drawing on our outdoor chalkboard wall.

Stephen About Linda
When I met Linda, she was struggling through geometry, so I offered my assistance so I could get to know her. I soon found she had a kind, generous, loving heart and was intelligent and insightful in many ways. I knew I had met the person with whom I wanted to spend the rest of my life.

Linda works for a nursing school at a local university. Her hobbies include making contemporary jewelry and working with clothing designers to make whimsical outfits for children.

Linda loves to read with Drake and take him on strolls through the neighborhood, either to the park or a nearby fire station. As a mother, Linda will motivate our children to be kind, think for themselves, and function responsibly.

Drake
Drake joined our family through adoption in 2004. We were honored to meet his birthmother and her family several weeks prior to his birth, and Linda assisted in his delivery.

Drake is a vivacious toddler whose favorite activities include chasing our two dogs, climbing, and splashing in water.

We have had great fun taking Drake on several trips, including Mexico, Hawaii, and Disneyland. We are also very excited that he will soon start pre-school on the campus where Linda works.

Our Family
We are both very close to Stephen's mother, and we are fortunate that she lives nearby and we see her often. Both Mary and her husband Bob have a wonderfully affectionate relationship with Drake, and they are thrilled about the possibility of having a granddaughter!

Linda has had a best friend since the age of 11, and they are really like sisters. Samara is very excited about becoming an aunt again, and she looks forward to the days when she can take her niece shopping!

Our Promise
It is our goal to provide our children with a world of opportunities, including sports and hobbies of their choosing, arts, cultural exploration, and a quality education--including college.

We hold a very special place in our hearts for adoption. Linda knows first-hand how extraordinary and privileged it feels to be adopted, and Stephen is now an incredibly happy adoptive father himself!
