Dear Birthmother,

We are a young, happily married couple with no children, and we are glad to be sharing our story with you. We have many blessings to share with a child, including our big and loving extended families, financial and career stability, and a peaceful, warm and happy home. Every day we grow more excited to share our laughter, our home, and our love with a child.

We met in college fourteen years ago and have now been married for eight years. We are best friends and spend most of our free time together: movies on Saturday afternoons, church every Sunday morning, vacations every summer, and just hanging out at home talking and laughing.

Six years ago, we decided to start a family. After a few years of trying unsuccessfully to conceive a baby, we decided that rather than continue with fertility treatments, we wanted to build a family through adoption. We were both excited about this decision right away! 

What Steve Says About Becky
Becky's contagious smile always cheers me up and her eyes sparkle when she is happy. She has a great sense of humor, is level-headed and has more common sense than anyone I know. One thing I admire is her willingness to explore new hobbies: recently, she started teaching herself digital scrapbooking, which she hopes to use to keep in touch with our future birthmother.

Becky is an attorney and recently accepted a job with a law firm where she will be working fewer hours and have more family time. I have always known that Becky will make a fantastic mother. She is caring, warm, patient, and she loves children. She will teach her children her love of reading, cooking and baking, photography and all things Disney!

What Becky Says About Steve
Steve is a very good listener, and is never too busy to ask how my day was or thank me for something I have done around the house. As a father, I know that he will set a wonderful example of a strong work ethic, faith in God, and the importance of family.

Steve teaches 7 th and 8 th grade. The patience and enthusiasm that make Steve a great teacher will also make him a fantastic father. He is very young at heart and when we visit our nieces and nephews he is the first one outside to throw a football or shoot hoops with them. His job gives him summers off, when he can spend even more time with his children sharing his love of sports, dogs, history and learning - and of course whatever interests our children develop!

Our Home and Family
Our life in the suburbs of Pennsylvania is constantly changing with the seasons; from the trees turning colors just in time for Halloween, to cozy winter evenings in front of our fireplace, to warm spring and summer evenings perfect for long walks with our little dog, Wesley. It is just a short drive to professional sporting events and theaters, a Children's Museum and Science Center, amusement park and zoo in our nearby city. Our families live minutes away, including most of our eight nieces and nephews. Both of our families are excited about our plans to adopt-in fact, we have a nephew who was adopted four years ago. Becky’s parents have offered to baby-sit and our child will not need to go to daycare when we are at work.

Our home is new and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Our backyard is just waiting for a swing set and playhouse! Our neighborhood is very safe, with sidewalks and not much traffic, and families with young children. We live in a good school district with a community park, bike trail and pool. We are both healthy non-smokers.

Our Promise to You
We will give our child love and acceptance, education and opportunity. We will raise them in the Catholic faith and teach them to follow the Golden Rule. They will know their parents are committed to each other for life. We will encourage them to succeed, laugh with them, comfort and guide them, and always make them feel safe and loved.
