David and Deanna's domestic adoption journeyLifetime Adoption is pleased to share a new installment in our blog series, called “Then and Now.”

Lifetime’s staff are here for adoptive families in each step of their adoption journey. When they are having a tough time waiting for their child, we’re here with tips and encouragement. And, once they adopt a baby (or child), we get to celebrate right alongside them, too!

The adoptive family in today’s installment of Lifetime Adoption’s “Then and Now” series is David and Deanna from Tennessee.

They shared with Lifetime that they were so excited to adopt their first child together, and that adoption had always been a desire in Deanna’s heart. She was adopted by her stepfather and later met her biological father, with whom she’s developed a close, loving relationship.

David and Deanna's adoption profileIn their adoption profile for birth mothers to learn more about them, David and Deanna wrote, “Our marriage is based on 12 years as best friends. We have a home in Tennessee and in Florida (near the ocean and Disney Parks!), and enjoy traveling and spending time with loved ones. Family is very important to us! We both value the blessing of adoption and love among all parties involved. We welcome an open adoption with you and look forward to getting to know you and the hopes you have for your child.”

David and Deanna adopted a baby girl through Lifetime three months ago. They were elated, as were the staff at Lifetime Adoption who did all the work needed to make their adoption happen!

David and Deanna were blessed to adopt a baby girlThey wrote to their adoption coordinator, “Thank YOU SO MUCH. Actually thank you isn’t good enough because how grateful we truly are can’t be put into words! We are SO happy we chose Lifetime on our special journey…God had His plan and He intervened and everything worked out better than perfect! We love all of you very much. It truly is by the grace of God that she is ours and she is absolutely perfect!  We’ve already recommended Lifetime to others we know who are adopting.

Madison has been such a blessing – THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING YOU ALL DO! We thank God numerous times a day for His plan and we will forever cherish you all in our hearts. From the many talks to the long distance hugs, shared tears, and words of encouragement and then the words of celebratory excitement, you’ve always been there for us. We love you all!”
