Lifetime Adoption is delighted to present another Lifetime adoptive family’s story today in our blog series “Then and Now.” Today’s adoptive family is Jason and Yava from Indiana.
As they began their journey with Lifetime, they shared that they were excited to start a new chapter in their lives: starting a family through infant adoption!
“We’re blessed to have a happy and strong marriage and support system. We believe adoption is the path God has chosen for us,” they wrote.
In their adoption profile for birth mothers to learn more about them, Jason and Yava wrote, “We both have stable jobs, enjoy traveling, learning, and being active. We’re college graduates and value education and life-long learning.
When we got married, we both knew we wanted to have children, both biologically and through adoption. We chose to focus on the adoption part of our family first after having fertility issues. We can’t wait to add to our ‘team’ and we hope that you’ll take this journey with us.”
Just three months after joining Lifetime for their adoption, Jason and Yava were chosed by their daughter’s birth mother. They were blessed to adopt a baby girl through Lifetime earlier this year!
They share, “Aviya’s personality is really starting to shine now. She laughs and coos all the time! She loves bathtime and having us read to her.
We recently had a homecoming shower and the love and support from our friends and family was amazing. Since Yava is a veterinarian, the party planning committee themed the party in Doc McStuffins. We asked for African American-themed books and especially those related to adoption. We were showered with baby gifts, advice, and books!
Aviya started daycare this month too. Mommy cried and she and Daddy giggled!
We are eternally grateful to Lifetime and her birth mother for blessing our lives so abundantly!”
