A wonderful way to bless a woman who has chosen to make an adoption plan (also known as a “birth mother”) is by donating to non-profit organizations such as the Lifetime Adoption Foundation. Right now, the Lifetime Foundation is in need of donations of new, blank journals to send to birth mothers.

The Lifetime Adoption Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists women, children, and families through open adoption in the U.S. They do this through educational scholarships, clothing, food, and help with other necessities to birth mothers who choose adoption. For hopeful adoptive parents, the Lifetime Adoption Foundation provides adoption grants and access to the resources needed for a domestic adoption.

Journaling is beneficial to birth mothers, because it allows them to get all of their thoughts to paper as they go through what can be a very difficult journey. Taking time to reflect upon their feelings during the journey is a therapeutic and helpful process. Some choose to use the journal to write a letter to their unborn baby about why they chose to make an adoption plan. Others find journaling helpful in the healing process after placement.

If you’d like to help, you can mail in donations or you may donate online via PayPal. Items or funds donated are tax deductible! You can mail journals to:
