Here’s a sweet adoption story that one of our Adoption Coordinators, Veronica, received from adoptive couple Craig and Ruth:
“God answers prayers in His own time and His own way. Our journey to Jackson has certainly helped us understand this. We set out on our adoption journey four years ago. In the beginning, we worked with other agencies, but God quickly shut those doors and asked us to wait, as He prepared our hearts to adopt. So we continued to pray and ask Him for direction in leading us to the child that He intended for us to have.
Last October, we began looking into Lifetime. God immediately opened doors and hearts and reassured us that our child would be delivered through you. It was Valentine’s Day, with a foot of snow on the ground, when we made our way to the post office to mail out our profiles. We prayed over them and asked God to use them to touch the heart of the right birth mother. Little did we realize that within six short months we would be bringing home our son!
We can’t tell you how blessed we are to have Jackson in our lives. He completes our family and brings joy into each day. We feel such an intimate connection with his birth family. We have the same desires, love and goals for Jackson. We know that we will have a life-long relationship with them as we continue to communicate. We are so humbled that they and God entrusted us with Jackson. Our prayer is to raise him in God’s will.
Thank you for all the support and encouragement we received from Veronica and through Lifetime. From hearing the stories of other families through the webinars, to receiving encouraging emails on Mother’s Day, Lifetime has been a constant source of support. We hope that our story will encourage others along the adoption journey!”
