Adoption stories are precious to us. We learn so much from each story that comes together through the adoptive parents and birth mothers here at Lifetime, and we know those stories serve as a great encouragement while you wait—after all, if those families before you could realize their adoption dream, you can realize that dream too.

Just as your story will be unique and inspiring in its own way, we also reflect on the original Christmas story. In Luke 2:18-19, it’s recorded that “All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often.”

As we read this familiar part of Christ’s birth story again, the second part, Mary’s memories of her baby’s story, stands out.

We know the same will be for you: each step you take to prepare and wait for the baby you’ll meet through your adoption will be significant and memorable as part of your child’s story. As much as you think of your future child now, imagine the details that will create your family’s adoption story and how often you’ll reflect on those once you welcome your child home. And, like the shepherds’ testimony, your family’s adoption story will not only bless you personally; it will be a proof of hope and perseverance for others who come to know it.

Remember to treasure your story as it unfolds, as well as to share it! This Christmas, may you be filled with JOY as you look at how far God has brought you. And, may you be renewed with expectant hope of what is ahead as He completes what He’s begun in your family’s story.

At Christmas we hold tight to the promises fulfilled by the Nativity Story. Christ’s birth reminds us that God always finishes what He starts! And “at the right time” too. May you find rest in the waiting, peace as you trust your faith, and hope in the anticipation of how God will continue to work all things for good.

Christmas blessings from all of us at Lifetime.jpg

Every day, Lifetime’s mission is to assist pregnant women as they learn about adoption as an option for the precious life they’re carrying. Through the blessings of families like yours, we’re able to provide assistance, care, love, and support, knowing that our Lifetime adoptive families are ready with open arms to embrace both the birth mother and her child.

christmas af1small.jpgAs we celebrate Christ’s birth, our prayer is that you’re surrounded by the peace He provides. Know that the God of all hope wants to give you your hearts’ desire. He knows that your one wish and prayer this Christmas is to have a child of your own. Thousands of families have prayed that same prayer, and with great joy their prayers were answered. Their faith and trust in Him kept them looking forward (and upward!) until they had their child in their arms.

As you gather with your loved ones, please encourage them to include your adoption plans in their prayers. God hears your prayers and will sustain and protect you through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our prayers for you are for a Christmas blessed with the abundance and comfort of God’s love, always hopeful. If we can help you with your adoption goals, please contact us for more information.

Please be aware of our office hours and availability over the Christmas and New Year holidays:
Closed on Monday, December 26 (in observance of Christmas)

If you’re pregnant or if you’re thinking about placing your baby for adoption, or if you are a Lifetime family with an important update about your match, we’re here to help. We know a holiday doesn’t turn off the questions! Call anytime, 24/7. We’re for you during the holidays, and beyond.

You are in our prayers today as we look forward to 2023. From all of us at Lifetime, a very Merry Christmas to you, and a sincere thank you for allowing us to be a part of how God may be helping you in this season. We hope each of you enjoys the wonder, magic, and love of this special season, however you celebrate.

“Many years ago, I was also searching for a child to adopt. We didn’t know where or how to get started. Through research, determination, and a prayer, our dream of a family became reality. I started with a plan, a notebook, assistance from a caring adoption consultant and a lot of hard work; this was my family I was building. We had a few heartaches along the way, but the pain of not having children was worse!

Within weeks we had three different birth mothers choose us. We were overwhelmed and delighted. Many unsettling events would take place before our adoption would be finalized, many months later. Little did I know that God was training and aligning me for the adoption work I now do today. It is my goal to share with our families the methods and plans which succeed and do not succeed. I believe adoption should be affordable and can be a wonderful “pregnancy” for the adoptive couple.

I have also been on both sides of infertility with the loss of seven pregnancies and then conceiving by new technology, giving birth to a healthy daughter. I have experienced first-hand the emotional pain of infertility and believe my experience allows me to serve your needs better.

It is my hope that for you, the prospective parents, your desire for a child will be fulfilled soon.”
