Hello! We are so happy to share a little about us and the life we’d love to share with your child as adoptive parents. Our story began 7 years ago and we quickly found we had a lot in common, including our desire to raise a family together. We’ve been through fertility challenges and are excited about becoming first-time parents through adoption! We want to share our love for the outdoors and adventures exploring different parts of the U.S. when we travel. It would be an honor to get to know you and the hopes you have for your child’s future. We are open to growing a connection with you and staying in touch after the adoption, if you’d like ongoing contact. Thank you for considering us!
A Little About Us...
How we met, as told by Lacy: We met the old fashioned way, randomly just out in the world when we weren’t looking. One Saturday in 2017 we were each at a country western place, just having a fun night out with friends. Aaron noticed me and asked me to dance. I explained I didn’t know how to dance and needed to get back to my friend. He came over to talk with us shortly after. That’s when we learned we both went to the same church! Aaron asked me to dance again, and I warned him I wasn’t good, but was willing to try. And the rest is history! We’ve been dancing together ever since. Now we’ve been married 4 years and are so hopeful about adopting our first child.
As a couple we enjoy:
• Going to the gym
• Walking our dogs
• Hiking
• Kayaking
• Country western couples dancing
• Riding our Harley Davidson
• Traveling to places on our bucket list
• Visiting national parks in our travel camper
This is Lacy
According to Aaron: Lacy is intelligent, driven, patient, understanding, and loving. There are tons of things I love about her, but the one thing I admire most is how she puts others before herself. Lacy’s passion for understanding how others think and process things is a perfect fit for her work in social services, helping people impacted by Alzheimers’ and dementia. She truly cares about what others are going through. Lacy is thoughtful in everything she does, from everyday tasks to preparing for big milestones or special occasions, or planning special gifts for those she loves. She will be an amazing mother!
Lacy’s interests:
• Cooking meals for others
• Baking cookies, candies, or unique cakes and cupcakes
• Going for walks or hikes
• Quality time with friends or family
This is Aaron
According to Lacy: Aaron is one of the most helpful and giving people I know. I have watched him be there for friends and look for opportunities to help others in need. He has a huge heart! Aaron loves what he does and is well respected in his work. I know he finds the dedication and intellectual side of it rewarding. His job takes a lot of focus, but he always has time and attention to share when he’s not at work. Aaron will be an amazing dad with so much love to give!
Aaron’s interests:
(pretty much anything active outside!)
• Running
• Hiking
• Camping
• Riding his motorcycle
Our Home in Maryland
Our home is a 4-bedroom colonial style home on almost 4 acres, with a pool and beautiful backyard with plenty of space to play. We have a large open front yard in a kid-friendly neighborhood that the neighbors love to walk. We live in a small town with endless possibilities for things to do from attending the county fair to going to art events. There are also great education opportunities and good schools.
We live near the DC area and enjoy the history in this area, with so many historical sites or monuments, trails, and places to see in our state. Inside our décor varies from vintage military keepsakes to country style. We love to have people over and work at making our house feel warm and welcoming.
Life in Our Family
As a military couple, we have a wonderful community of support and friends-like-family that we spend time with for holidays, camping, and vacations. We do a lot together! We’ve grown close through military life and love each other like we were related all along. This has been such a gift for us, since we both come from smaller families. We are close with our siblings and our niece and 3 nephews, even though they aren’t local to us. Aaron has a brother in Norway and Lacy has one sister in Arizona one in California. We all stay in touch regularly and enjoy taking turns to visit each other.
From the Heart...
We believe children should grow up with love, kindness, and support. As parents we plan to encourage our child to follow their dreams, learning self-discipline and how to work hard. We will raise him or her to value dignity, respect, and compassion for others. He or she will always know we are here to help them through anything. We will be their biggest cheerleaders too! This child would be such a blessing to us, always.
We promise to:
• Provide a positive, enriching environment where he or she can flourish.
• Pass down our love for travel, outdoor adventures, sports, and faith.
• Give them every opportunity for good education and skills to reach their goals.
• Model the value of serving others and making a positive impact on the world around us.
• Share letters, photos, and updates with you, if you want an open adoption.
• Raise your child to know how much we care for you and how we came together through adoption.
Thank you for considering us as an adoptive family for your child! It’s an honor to tell you a little about the life we hope to share with a child one day. We take to heart everything you’re going through as you make this decision. When you’re ready, we’d love to talk or video chat! Call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.
Very sincerely, Aaron & Lacy

More About Our Family
Fun Facts About Us
Aaron says: I’m a huge Star Wars and Superman nerd. I even have an authentic Stormtrooper costume I like to wear for Halloween. I also have a lot of Superman memorabilia. My dad and I connected over Superman comics when I was a kid, so it reminds me of quality time with him.
Lacy says: I collect Christmas ornaments from anywhere we travel or go camping. I also treasure a Christmas Village display I inherited from my Grammy, which she started with her best friend years ago. When the village was passed down to me, I started adding at least one house or store a year to the collection. It’s my favorite decoration to get out at Christmas and it now has about 50 little buildings in the village.
What's Important to Us
Putting others first is a big part of our life. Everyone deserves dignity and respect, and we should never treat anyone like they are less than. We believe in service to others and being useful to our community. We also value integrity, honor, and mutual respect. We’ve both been Christians since childhood and are active in our faith. It matters to us that we reflect our faith through kindness, forgiveness, grace, and selflessness, as much as possible. We attend a wonderful church where we love to volunteer with the clothing or food drives or to cook meals for people in need.
Our Pets
We have 5 cats and 2 dogs. Over the years we’ve rescued our cats and dogs, each who have their own little story and unique personality. Our sweet cats are Daisy, Smokey, Morris, Jack, and Odin. Our dogs are River, a friendly Terrier mix who loves everyone she meets, and Valkyrie, a calm Wooly Husky who is always up for fetch, frisbee, or snuggling. We love our pets!
Traditions with Our Loved Ones
• Baking Christmas cookies and filling tins with homemade goodies to give to coworkers, friends, or neighbors
• Snowboarding
• Renaissance Fairs
• Obstacle races
• Camping a few times every year
