Hello from Eastern Oklahoma and thank you for looking at our profile! We are a fun-loving family that enjoys lake trips, game nights, camping, and church events. We live on a 6-acre hobby farm right outside of our small town in our forever home that was built by Drew and his family. Our hearts have felt the call of adoption for so long; our 3 children share in our excitement and have joined us in praying for our future daughter or son. We would love to hear from you with any questions or just to get to know each other!

About Us

Our story began at IHOP. No really, it did! Our friends brought us along for “comedy relief” on their first date and didn’t realize they were making a match of their own. That was 16 years ago, and we have been married for 12 of those. From the moment we met the call to the ministry was evident in our lives. Drew has been a pastor or youth pastor for our entire marriage and is currently serving as lead pastor at our church. One our favorite things to do for our church is to cook mass amounts of food; it’s one way we show love! We enjoy being in the kitchen together and serving. Our favorite place will always be anywhere our family is together glorifying God.

Together, we enjoy:

  • Finding the best “hole in the wall” restaurants
  • Bowling matches
  • Being outdoors–hiking, fishing
  • Visiting the local antique shops

About Jenna

Andrew says: The thing I love most about Jenna is heart for others, her way of showing others they are loved. Jenna truly lights up any room she walks into. She is a tremendously hard worker and leads our church’s kids camp and Vacation Bible School every year.  She teaches Sunday School at our church, and even works with the children teaching them American Sign Language. She is an amazing volunteer! As a teacher at our children’s school, her love for her students and co-workers is evident as she puts her full effort into her career. After a long day of work (I know because my mom was a teacher too) she won’t miss a beat coming home and loving on our kids and spending quality time with each of them. Jenna looks forward to spending time with our future child in their interests, whatever they might be! She hopes to share her love of ASL, soccer, and baking with our new son or daughter. Jenna will always show up and be present in their lives consistently.

When she gets time to herself you will most likely find her:

  • working out (cycling)
  • watching Gilmore girls
  • making fresh juice
  • baking (anything with chocolate)
  • trying out coffee shops in the area

About Andrew

Jenna says: Drew is a constant for anyone in his life, caring and dependable. He is strong mentally, spiritually, and physically, but Drew (only really called Andrew by his mom when he’s being goofy) is also hilarious, incredibly easy going, and has the singing voice of an angel. His number one priority in life has always been leading our family in a biblical way, “going by the golden rule” he will say. He takes our daughters on regular “dates” showing them just how precious they are to him. With our son he enjoys hunting, fishing, and going to wrestling practice. To our 15 nieces and nephews, he is known as “Uncle Drewby Doo” and can often be found lifting them high above his head as “airplanes” or bouncing them on his knee on a “roller coaster”.  He is thrilled to get to have another son or daughter to love, teach about the outdoors, and spend time in God’s Word with. Adoption has been on his heart as a call from God, and as his wife, I am blessed to know that He is always praying God’s will be done.

If he has the day off, you can find him:

  • on his family’s hunting acreage
  • watching ESPN
  • looking up YouTube videos about gardening techniques
  • Caring deeply about his fantasy football team 🙂

Our Growing Family

Our extended families are a huge part of our lives. On Jenna’s side we enjoy weekend trips at her parents’ lake house with our 13 nieces and nephews, trips to a local theme park, and monthly birthday parties. Out of those 13 kiddos, 6 have been adopted from our brother and sister-in-law. Seeing their successful relationships with their birth mothers makes us even more excited to have one with ours.

Drew’s parents are very active in our lives and also love spoiling their grandkids. His father is a pastor, and his mother is a counselor. They boast about their grandkid sleepovers once a month, which gives the kids full command of menus and activities. We have such a special relationship with them, which is full of us running to them for advice and love consistently.

All of our extended family supports our kids in each of their endeavors. They are there for the good times and the hard times. We are undeniably grateful for everything they do for us, and with us. Both of our families are supportive of our adoption.

Our Home in Oklahoma

Our house is a product of research and time, on Jenna’s part. We were able to choose our own layout and have Drew’s great uncle’s company make our dreams come true. We have 4 bedrooms and some fun quirks (like a reading nook outside the kids’ rooms) that make it our own. The monkey bars in the front yard and pool in the back make for great adventures for our children. Also, our animals play a big part in our lives. We have 2 dogs, Daisy and Winston. Daisy May is outside and struts around at age 13 like it’s nothing. Winston Bishop, our mini-golden doodle that just turned 2, thinks he is the boss. Hamilton is our orange cat. Our farm animals are ever changing and provide meat for our family and extended family.

Our Promise

Our promise to you is that your child will never wonder if they are loved. They will be raised in a home that puts Christ above all else and values hard work. They will be fully supported in whatever activities/sports they enjoy most. We want to be open with you during all walks of your child’s life with respect, love, and kindness. We not only have a heart for adoption, but a desire for every mother reading this to know that you are equally prayed over and equally part of this journey our family is yearning to take. We promise to share life’s milestones with you along the way in any form you choose, if you desire.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Schools

Jenna works at our local K-8 public school teaching 5th grade. She is always right down the hall from all three of our kids with extra hugs at lunch. The school also allows for teacher's children to attend daycare in the school nursery right down the hall from her classroom. This makes her readily available throughout the day; it is truly a blessing. One of our favorite parts, (and the kids' as well) is the school's large indoor swimming pool. Students begin learning how to swim with trained lifeguards in pre-school! Their kindergarten program involves jumping off a diving board, and by the time they're in 3rd grade, they are swimming like fish weekly in P.E. classes. Jenna is one of many certified lifeguards and is right down the hall from the pool!

Our Small Town

Living in a small town you are sure to find 3 things:
-Relatives (even if you can't figure out how)
-Friday night football games
-A little drive-in that has the best pizza!

While our town definitely has all three of these, it also has a strong community. We enjoy traveling, camping at different parks, and finding fun waterparks, but most of all we love our home. With the monkey bars built by our uncle in the front yard, the pool in the backyard, and a playroom inside, we are never happier than when we are together grabbing a board game and putting on a movie.

Sibling Love

Our kids are nothing short of miracles that the Lord allowed us to have. Our twins, Lucy and Lilly, were micro-preemies that have grown to be healthy and caring ten-year-old girls. Our time in the NICU taught us about the Lord's patience, comfort, and grace. Today they will tell you they both hope to be nurses for babies and enjoy helping in the church nursery, playing basketball, and taking piano/singing lessons. Lucy spends her days playing with her little brother or curled up with a good book, while Lilly would rather perform for a crowd of whomever will listen. The two are beautifully different and alike at the same time. They are the most loving, protective big sisters anyone could hope for. Our son, Knox, just turned 5. He is LOUD, brave, and dreams of fighting fires with his dog for work someday. His smile lights up the room because thankfully, he got his daddy's sense of humor and blue eyes. He will be such a fun big brother.

As a family we join in prayer before bed, and each night they pray for the baby brother or sister that God has planned for our family. Knox likes to add in that he would love one that could play on his soccer team :)

Our Traditions

Some of our most treasured traditions we enjoy as a family:
-Fourth of July golf cart parade at the grandparents', complete with fireworks!
-Christmas story reading after Christmas lunch at Drew's parents'
-Community caroling with church members
-Fall Festival hayrides
-Birthday breakfasts where the menu can go as far as your imagination
-Water park trips on Saturdays during the summer

In Closing

We are thrilled to welcome this new child into our family, any race or gender, and you as well as their birth mother!
