Hey there! We are honored to introduce ourselves and humbled that you would consider us for your child. We are excited to become first-time parents through the process of adoption!
We are an active couple who enjoys traveling, cooking, and being outside. We always look forward to trips to the mountains and the beach, cheering for our favorite sports teams, and the occasional lazy Sunday when we’ve had a busy week. We are elated to share our favorite things with your child!
We met while in college and began dating our junior year. We’ve now been happily married for almost 6 years! Our favorite thing about being together is coming home every day to someone who loves us, who cares about what happened in our day, and who is cheering for us. After getting to grow in our marriage and build a strong foundation, we are so excited and ready to welcome a baby into our lives to share these things with!
We promise that your child will always be loved, cared about, and cheered for every day. We’re excited to share our love and our passion for the great outdoors with trips to the mountains and the beach. We’ll teach them about our favorite sports teams and cheer them on if they choose to join a team. We make it a point to slow down and enjoy the little things on a daily basis like supper together, quality conversation, and laughter- things we look forward to sharing with your child.
Emily is a creative director at a local Christian-based rehabilitation program and has dedicated her life to being a servant. She has a truly vibrant spirit and is the most caring person I have ever met- always considers others’ thoughts and feelings before herself. Emily enjoys every part of life and is always deliberate in the way she approaches making decisions, relationships, and her walk with the Lord.
She enjoys hiking in the mountains, crafting with her family, and cuddling with our blind cat, Rylee. Emily has a soft, fun-loving spirit, and puts a high value on quality time. Emily is looking forward to sharing the same comforting voice, loving attitude, and quality time that her mother has always spent with her, with our child. She also looks forward to showing them the joy of nature and crafting with family.
Collin is a manager for a local building supply company and runs his own business in his spare time. He is the most hardworking person I know and will make whatever sacrifice necessary, putting away his own feelings, to provide for his family. He is quick to see the humor in life and enjoy the little things, while simultaneously being so thoughtful and intentional in his relationships.
Collin loves early mornings, mountain trips, being outdoors, and playing with our yellow lab, Beau. He has dedicated his life to loving Jesus and pursuing peace and joy in every season of life. Collin has a very close relationship with his dad and he cannot wait to pass on the same love, time, and close connection with our child! He especially looks forward to sharing all of his tips and tricks when it comes to enjoying the great outdoors!
Our families are all thrilled about our adoption and already look forward to welcoming our child into family gatherings, bonfires, and meals. Both Collin and Emily’s parents live within a short driving distance and are absolutely thrilled to welcome their first grand child!
Emily’s sister, brother, and parents all live close by. Emily’s mom is a kindergarten teacher, and her dad is a pastor of a local church who has announced his retirement and cannot wait to have more free time to spend with family. They look forward to annual family beach trips, fishing, going on walks together, and meals on the back porch.
Collin’s mother is an outgoing, and charismatic real-estate agent who has never met a stranger. Collin’s dad is an outdoorsman who works in construction. They can’t wait to share lake trips, baseball games, and playing corn hole with our child. Family relationships are so important to us and we cannot wait to add a new member to our close-knit family!
Our Home in North Carolina
We live in a small, tight-knit neighborhood within walking distance of an active and historical downtown. We are surrounded by multiple parks, a beautiful nationally ranked university, and multiple highly ranked public and private schools. We are in close proximity to both of our families and also just a couple of hours away from the beach and mountains!
Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath house has an open floor plan and a big fenced-in backyard with plenty of room to play catch. We have already painted the nursery a soft green color and Collin is currently working on building a custom crib with his dad. We believe that having a welcoming, warm, and encouraging home is so important.
We promise to give our whole hearts to loving and nurturing your child and to support them as they grow into the person God made them to be. We promise to create an environment that will allow your child to grow, make mistakes and learn. We promise to cultivate a home that encourages creativity and inspiration so that your child can walk in confidence knowing that they can do anything they set their mind to. We look forward to getting to know you and are already praying for you. We promise to honor the level of openness and communication that you are comfortable with.

More About Our Family
Emily’s dad is the pastor of a local non-denominational church that we attend on Sunday mornings and her mom is a teacher at the private school that the church started. We are very active within our church community, where Collin serves as a Deacon. We are also involved in a married couples small group that meets for bible study once a week with other couples. Our faith is so important to us and it is the foundation of our lives.
Rylee is our friendly 7-year-old calico cat. She loves to cuddle and interact with people. She is blind and has been since she was born but that doesn't stop her from quickly getting around the house and playing with her favorite toys.
Beau is our yellow labrador retriever who is 5 years old and extremely energetic. Beau lives in our fenced-in backyard and loves to play fetch and love on anyone who will play with him.
Our Typical Weekend
On Friday nights you can typically find us at home enjoying a little time together watching a movie, playing a game, or occasionally going out to eat for a date night adventure. On Saturday mornings you will usually find Emily snuggled up with our cat and enjoying a hot cup of coffee while Collin has woken up with the sun and is out pressure washing or working on a project. On Saturday evenings we usually spend time with family - eating a meal together or playing a game. On Sunday mornings we go to church and just see where the day takes us. Sometimes it leads to kayaking, hiking, disc golf, or simply spending some time at home. On the off-weekend we have no plans you can usually find us headed to the mountains!
We appreciate you taking the time to read our website and learning more about us! We promise to love your baby and raise them in a joy-filled home where they will learn the value of family and quality time while growing into who God made them to be. We look forward to hearing more from you and answering questions that you may have!
