Drew & Hannah

Hello! We are Drew and Hannah and we are a loving, Christian couple in Ohio who feel called to adoption.

We are looking forward to sharing our love for God and others, our home, and our hearts with our child. We are excited to  welcome our first baby into our home through adoption and cannot wait to nurture and support our child through every milestone!

About Us

We have been married for about 2 years, but met 5 years ago. We met through Drew’s sister playing matchmaker. We have always wanted to have a family after we settled into married life. However, God has had some other plans and through a journey has led us to adopting our first baby… and we cannot be more excited!!

As a couple we just love to spend quality time together. This looks differently depending on the season in Ohio (and they change frequently). Many times we find ourselves taking our dog for walks in the neighborhood, spending time in the pool or hot tub, going for ice cream, and in the Fall watching football or a movie. When the baby arrives, we cannot wait to take family walks, play games, read books, and spend time with all of our family.

About Hannah (By Drew)

Hannah is the definition of happiness. She is always so positive. She has a heart of gold, and is always looking to help others (this is why she is a nurse). She is gentle, kind, and a great listener. She loves to cook dinner every evening for us when she gets home from work. She makes sure our house stays clean and organized. She is my best friend and I love her so much.

Hannah is a Registered Nurse at a local hospital. This is the perfect job for her because she is so caring. She loves to take care of others. She puts others’ needs way before her own.

Hannah’s hobbies include reading, watching tv shows or movies with me, going on walks, and spending time outside as she loves planting new flowers around our yard.

Hannah will be an amazing mom. She is looking forward to “baby snuggles”, singing and reading books with our baby, and just simply living life as a family. Hannah, simply being Hannah, will have such a positive influence on our baby as they grow up.

About Drew (By Hannah)

Drew has never met a stranger. He is kind and takes an interest in anyone he talks to. He is easy-going and has one of the steadiest personalities even on days that are tougher than others. He is hardworking and does not shy away from a task. His love for his family is unwavering.

Drew is a UPS driver and delivers packages. I joke that he is “the real Santa” at Christmas time because of how many presents he delivers during that time of year. Drew’s hardworking and friendly attitude translates well as he likes to keep his customers satisfied with the deliveries and pickups and knows many of them by name.

When I think of Drew I think of Steelers and Ohio State football. Other interests that come to mind include spending time outside, playing with our dog, and watching tv shows.

Drew is going to be a wonderful dad. He is looking forward to sharing his love of sports and instilling life values such as family time and hard work into our child.

Our Family

Our family right now consists of us and our dog, Zeke. Drew’s side of the family includes his parents, sister, and grandparents that all live within 15 minutes of us. Hannah’s side of the family includes her parents, older sister and brother-in-law, and her younger sister that all live within 30 minutes of us. Both sides of the family agree that family is everything. We all make it a point to have get-togethers and see each other at least once a week. We are close-knit and keep in touch during the week as well.

Our baby will be the first adoption in our family and everyone is beyond excited. They have been supportive from the beginning and our child will never doubt if he or she is loved by us or our extended family.

Everyone is looking forward to sharing family meals and gatherings, family vacations, and birthdays and holidays together with our baby.

Our Home in Ohio

We live in Northeast Ohio in a 3-bedroom bi-level house. We remodeled the inside completely when we moved in. There is living space both upstairs and downstairs and we have a fenced in backyard with an above ground pool. We love to host gatherings in our backyard because we have a large deck right outside the kitchen.

We live in the suburbs but are a short drive to restaurants, shopping, and fun seasonal activities. Nearby there are also two preserves that allow for fishing and hiking.

Currently the nursery has all the furniture that we will need. However, we are waiting until we are matched so that we can customize it for the child. The nursery will be directly across the hall from our bedroom.

Things we love about our home include its location, our backyard, and the openness of it. We like that it is in a good school district and that it is close to both of our workplaces.

Our Promise

We are so thankful to be considered for your adoption plan. We want you to know that we promise to provide every opportunity for our child to the best of our ability. We will encourage him or her to explore his or her identity in this world, support extracurriculars, and make education a priority. We will provide a nurturing home where he or she will feel safe and have unconditional love… always. We promise that our baby will know just how special he or she is because of his or her adoption story, and will tell the adoption story over and over again from day one. If you are wanting an open adoption plan, we are more than happy to continue a relationship with you to the level of comfort you have, including occasional visits.

We are looking forward to being parents and instilling values into our child such as spending time with family, treating everyone with respect, honor, and hard work. We are looking forward to nightly bedtime stories and dinner conversations about the day, the latest creation, or the most recent Sunday school lesson.
