Hi from sunny Florida!
Our lives and home are full of curiosity, cuddles, and creative hands-on learning. Your child will be loved deeply, travel often, and have opportunities to develop interests, cultivate talents, grow, and shine. We promise to cherish your child for who they are every day and always and to be here for them in ways big and small.
We know in our hearts that it’s time to grow our family and are overjoyed to start down the beautiful path of adoption again. We look forward to getting to know you, hearing about all of the dreams you have for your child, and keeping in touch with you through letters, pictures, and visits.
We met by chance almost 20 years ago, but it feels like fate. Our first conversation lasted hours. The connection was so natural that we were married 3 years later. We love to catch live music together, put our toes in the sand, and explore the world and outdoors. When it came time to build our family, pregnancy wasn’t an option due to a medication Cindy was on. In 2015, we were blessed with our baby boy, Nolan, through adoption and he is a true joy in our lives. He is thrilled to be a big brother, and we are ready to grow our family again.
On the weekends, we like to enjoy the simple things: playing at the beach, hiking, making Rice Krispie treats, taking our cuddly dog, Cooper, for walks, and having movie-night picnics. We look forward to looking for seashells with your child, teaching them how to swim and kayak, snuggling in for cozy evenings at home, and much more.
About Jason (in Cindy's Words)
Jason is generous, genuine, and accepting. He’s a great dad and always makes us laugh. More times than I can count, he has set all things aside to fix toys, teach a new baseball or soccer move, listen, play, encourage, or give hugs. He’s the sweetest, most organized t-ball coach ever and is loyal and hard-working. He’s been at the same company for 20 years and is a program manager.
Jason enjoys the beach, exploring, and being outside in the yard, or tossing a ball. When he can swing it, he likes to play softball and golf. He’s excited to include our next child in all of our family adventures: hiking, road-tripping, and time on the water. He’ll be happy to have more help building sandcastles too!
About Cindy (in Jason's Words)
Cindy is sweet, loving, and playful. I’ve watched her put her entire heart into being a stay-at-home mom. Her creativity and background in elementary education really come through in her parenting, whether it’s doing voices for book characters, making playdough, or chalk-drawing a life-size T-Rex on the driveway to teach our son about dinosaurs.
Cindy never turns down the chance to curl up with a good book on the patio or the beach, and she’s excited to share her love of reading with our next child. Her yoga mat is always nearby for meeting a friend for class and she teaches, too. New recipes, baking, and holiday and home decorating are right up Cindy’s alley. Cookie cutters and her mixer are on her list of essential kitchen tools, and she’s looking forward to having another little helper to cut out shapes and shake sprinkles!
Our Son and Extended Family
Nolan is 6 and full of wholehearted spirit. He’s always ready to swim, draw, dance, and adventure and gives a thumbs-up to making art, solving puzzles, and doing science experiments. Like his birth mom and us, Nolan loves music. He puts on concerts and has played in a local drum circle on the beach! He hopes to sing songs with your child, take them to Discovery Cove one day to swim with a dolphin, and read his favorite goodnight stories to them.
Extended Family | We’re supported by amazing grandparents, siblings, cousins, and long-time forever friends. Some live nearby and we enjoy visiting with them at the zoo, school events, and everyday fun. Others are just a plane ride away and we enjoy traveling to visit with them! We’ve had several adoptions in our extended family! Everyone is excited to love your child.
Top Two Traditions | Birthday parties are a given. Each year, we also take a trip to honor Nolan’s adoption story and will create a tradition for your child, too. One favorite Christmastime tradition is gathering with extended family in a town with millions of lights. We sip cocoa, toast marshmallows, sing Rudolph, ride trains, and wear Santa hats.
Our Home in Florida
Our city fits the definition of community: safe, amazing schools, sweet traditions, playmates, and great neighbors. Our home has coastal colors and is cozy, casual, sunny, and soothing. We love to spend time in the family room and open the sliders to the patio and yard. The overall feel reflects what home means to us: a place of unconditional acceptance and togetherness.
Patterns, a comfy glider, and a map to track adventures will decorate your child’s nursery. The beach, parks, art center, kids classes at the theatre, library, and ice cream are a walk or bike ride away from our home. At the holidays, we love to deck the halls (and every room)!
We promise to love fully and completely and to honor the loving agreement that adoption is between you, your child, and us. Your child will be cherished by us and our entire family. We’ll listen and encourage dreams, offer them guidance, celebrate every accomplishment, share the joy of traveling with them, and provide them with a well-rounded lifestyle. We promise to tie shoes, read books, bake chocolate chip cookies, kiss boo-boos, and honor their adoption story. We will always—always—advocate and cheerlead endlessly on their behalf, from milestones to every moment in between. We’d love to hear from you! We’re open to letters and calls, photos, and visits.
From our hearts to yours,
Cindy and Jason

More About Our Family
Do you love music?
Music's a given in our house (and car!). ;) Growing up, Jason played the drums and Cindy played the clarinet and bass clarinet. Nolan has a few instruments and will start music lessons soon. At the holidays, we do karaoke sessions at home with extended family, complete with microphones. It's so much fun!
What values will you teach?
The morals we learned from our parents and church have shaped who we are today and the decisions we make. A few of the core values we strive to show and teach are honesty, love, kindness, compassion, and helping others. Another that's deeply important to us is accepting and appreciating differences. Along with what we do every day, we believe traveling and creating opportunities to learn about different cultures is key to this one, and we'll always continue to do both.
What are meals like at your house?
We love a just-baked treat. But our day-to-day meals have a lot of whole foods are really fresh. (We go through a lot of fruit!) Cindy does most of the cooking and Jason does the grilling. In the evenings, we sit down for dinner together. If it's nice out, we like to eat on the patio.
How important is education to you?
Both of our moms were teachers, Cindy has taught, and there are a lot of educators in our extended family too—elementary through university level. We both value our overall experience, from kindergarten through college. We're committed to giving your child the same, from great schools to being involved parents at class parties and events. From year one, we started saving for Nolan's college and we're ready to do that for your child too.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We'd be honored to love your child, offer opportunities for learning and growth, and to cherish them day in and day out. We look forward to getting to know you and hope to stay in touch through letters, calls, photos, and visits.
