Watch Our Video
Hi! We are a pastor’s family who live in a small town in rural Montana. Music is a very big part of our lives and we love exploring our unique area of the world. Our lives are set up to spend a great amount of quality time together as a family of four! We would be blessed to welcome your child into our family and share with him or her our love for family, music, and the Lord. Thank you for looking at our profile!
About Us
We met on a music missions’ trip to Italy while we were both attending college. Our backgrounds are very different as Jon grew up in the Amazon in South America and Kati grew up in South Dakota. Adoption had been on our hearts for many years, and after two miscarriages we believe adoption to be God’s plan for growing our family.
We have been married for almost 12 years. As a couple we’ve worked on several building projects together and enjoy exercising our creativity. We have 2 wonderful kids, our son Liam (9 years old) and daughter Evangeline (6 years old). We love to sing together, play games (some of our favorites right now are Disney Scene-It and Mario Kart), and spend summers in our backyard and riding bikes around town.
Almost everything we do is centered around being together as a family and we are excited to be on this path to adoption!
About Kati
Kati is a uniquely gifted person. She is highly qualified, competent, and creative and has devoted herself to caring for her family. Kati is a lady of great discernment and can read people and situations with amazing clarity. She’s a good mother who always puts our children’s well-being first.
Kati grew up in a small town in South Dakota where she learned the value of hard work and a good education. She also found her love for music and has a truly amazing voice! She is very involved in our church’s music ministry and loves to teach the Bible to the young ladies and women of the church. Our children benefit daily from her giving heart. Kati does an amazing job of homeschooling our two kids and raising them to love learning, music, the Lord, and each other. These are all things that I know she looks forward to sharing with our next child.
About Jon
Jon is a very gifted teacher/preacher and a great father. He is adventurous and loves to explore or try new things. In our homeschooling lessons, Jon takes the time to patiently teach the kids Bible class and also Portuguese. Growing up in the Amazon Jungle he learned how to be a wise problem solver. Jon even helped me build a she-shed that I designed for myself as a home office.
Jon is a pastor and has a great love for people and even more love for seeing others grow in the Lord. He has started the process of becoming a Biblically certified counselor. He is always able to resolve disputes between our kids, calm anxious hearts, and patiently answer questions. He leads our family with love and looks forward to welcoming our next child into the family.
Our Children and Family
Our son, Liam, is our LEGO, Transformer, book-reading, music-loving boy. You can find him building with LEGOS, learning a new song from “How to Train Your Dragons” at the piano, or reading a new adventure book series. He has a very soft heart for people and is a great big brother!
Our daughter, Evangeline, is our little spitfire and is very witty! She loves Disney Princesses, being creative, and taking care of her pet bunny, Nibbles. She’s excited to help care for a little sibling and we know she will be a great big sister!
Both Liam and Evangeline are excited about our plans to adopt and have been praying for our future child as part of their bedtime prayers.
Extended Family: Jon’s parents are missionaries in Brazil. The kids have weekly calls with them and give music concerts for them over video calls. Jon’s grandmother also calls for weekly concerts and Scripture reciting from the kids. They are all so excited for us to grow our family through adoption.
Kati’s family lives closer; we make at least two trips a year to see them over Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July. The kids have a great time with their cousins running the loop at Grandma and Papa’s house. We look forward to including our next child in our annual water fights over the Fourth of July and on the carnival rides!
Our Home in Montana
We love our small town life in rural Montana! It’s a safe place to live and our kids love riding their bikes to the library or around town. People are friendly here too and like to stop by and visit. Our house is right next to the church where we work, which is very convenient for our family. With the help of our church we recently remodeled our basement to extend the living space. Now we have a room for homeschooling and a bedroom for everyone in our household. It’s like time moves a little slower here, which we love. This has been a wonderful place to raise our family!
Our Promise
Our promise to you is that we will provide a loving, nurturing, Christ-centered home and family for your baby. He or she will be so loved and will have two great older siblings excited to share all that they know with them! We promise to invest in every aspect of your child’s life and help them to find and cultivate their unique, God-given purpose. We will be honest with them about how we came together through adoption and how much you mean to us. Your child would be a blessing in our lives!

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
Music is our number one family interest. We met singing music and have been singing together ever since and have just added more to our band! Our son can now sing parts with us and accompany us on the piano. Our daughter is becoming more confident and is learning piano as well.
As a couple, we work on different woodworking projects together and always have some projects in the works. We love hiking, camping as a family, and exploring our beautiful country area.
Our Faith
As believers in Jesus Christ, we are deeply committed to what the Bible says. This deep value in our faith is where we center our lives, our ministry, our choices as parents, and our homeschooling. Our faith in Christ gives us a solid foundation to stand upon through anything. Our desire is to grow closer to the Lord every day.
Our Heart for Ministry
Ministry in a small town can be very diverse and rewarding. We can work with many kids through homeschool groups and Sunday School classes. We also have the opportunity to invest in the lives of the elderly, including serving at the nursing home with our family. As Christians we believe in showing God's love and care to others in the ways He leads us, where we live.
Everyday Life in Our Family
Our day around our home consists of getting up and starting school at 7:45. We are usually done with formal school at noon. Our kids then have some homework in the afternoons, followed by going to AWANA and piano lessons. We also participate in our monthly homeschool group meetings with kids from the area.
In our free time, our kids will spend the afternoons playing together, listening to Adventures in Odyssey, and building igloos with Dad in the snow. We have many weekly ministries in the church, such as youth group, home Bible studies, and women's and men's Bible studies. Our homeschool schedule and pastoral ministry offer us flexibility and a lot of time together as a family.
In Closing
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out our profile. We would be very excited to have your child join our family and have so much love to share with him or her in our home. We are open to occasional visits and sending you letters and pictures. Our faith in Jesus Christ is very important to us, and we look forward to the opportunity of sharing this great love with your child while encouraging them to learn, grow and become the person they were meant to be.
