Hello from Kansas! We’re Matt and Danielle, and we are so excited to add a child to our active family! We have 1 son and 2 daughters that range from 4 to 9 years old. Adoption has been on our hearts for a couple years and we believe now is the time God has for us to adopt. We are part of a close-knit extended family with lots of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins living nearby who are eager to welcome another family member. We want to thank you for spending time reading our profile and getting to know a little more about us.
About Us
We’re high school sweethearts who have been married for 13 wonderful years. A couple of years after graduating, we were married in our hometown, and today we live just an hour away—close enough to stay connected to our roots and the people who mean so much to us. Family is at the center of everything we do, and we are so thankful for the life we share.
We’ve always dreamed of having a large family. After Danielle experienced complications with her last two pregnancies, we prayerfully felt God leading us to grow our family through adoption. We are so grateful for the path that has brought us here and are filled with hope and excitement for what’s ahead.
Some of our favorite things to do together include:
- playing board games
- cheering on our favorite team at college football games
- taking evening walks with our kids to the neighborhood playground
- traveling and exploring new places—sometimes as a couple and sometimes with our whole crew
- once the kids are tucked into bed, you’ll often find us relaxing on the couch, discovering a new movie or TV series to enjoy together
About Danielle (According to Matt)
Danielle is gentle, supportive, loyal, and dependable. She’s an incredible, caring mom and an expert homemaker! She keeps us organized, manages our schedule, remembers all the kids’ needs for school, and does all the other things that keep our lives on track. I’d be totally lost without her!
More about Danielle:
- She’s a stay-at-home mom, but has her dental hygiene license and used to love cleaning teeth!
- She has a passion for coffee, playing pickleball, and is a pro at solving puzzles.
- Her brain is a steel trap. She can meet someone once and remember their name, birthday, favorite color, and several other random facts about that person.
- She pours her heart and soul into our kids and does all she can to ensure they are safe, healthy, and loved.
About Matt (According to Danielle)
Matt is loyal, steadfast, and deeply caring. He is a devoted husband and an involved, hands-on father who gives his full attention to whatever is in front of him. Whether he’s at work, at home, or with our kids, he puts his whole heart into it.
He leads our family with a servant’s heart, always putting our needs before his own and providing for us with strength and humility. One of his greatest joys is coaching our kids’ sports teams. He loves not only teaching the skills of the game, but also pouring into the next generation—instilling the values of teamwork, integrity, and perseverance.
Some other hobbies of his include:
- playing golf and watching football
- doing home improvement projects around the house
- grilling in the backyard during warmer months
- going fishing and hiking when we travel
About Our Children
We have 3 kids who cannot wait to add another sibling to the family!
Evan (9) is a ball of energy and is our social butterfly. He loves all things sports, helping his grandpa on the farm, and building Lego sets. He also loves having siblings to play with!
Avery (7) is sweet, gentle, and is more reserved than Evan, but she does enjoy being around family and friends. Her interests right now are ballet, barbies, reading books and singing out loud to whatever song is currently playing in the car or house.
Adeline (4) always has something to say and often provides comic relief to the rest of us. She doesn’t let her age stop her from trying to keep up with whatever her siblings are doing.
Our Home in Kansas
We live in a five-bedroom home with a basement in a welcoming neighborhood filled with large yards, walking paths, playgrounds, and fishing ponds. Our basement has a spacious, open play area connected to the family room, and it’s one of our kids’ favorite places to run, play, and let their imaginations grow.
The main level of our home is open and bright, with windows on every side that fill the space with natural light. We’re blessed to watch both the sunrise and sunset from our home each day. We also live within walking distance of the kids’ school, which makes our daily routine both easy and special.
Our street is full of families with young children, and our kids love playing with their neighborhood friends. No matter the season—sunshine or snow—it’s common to hear the doorbell ring with kids asking if ours can come out and play. It’s a joyful, lively place to call home.
Our Promise
We promise to provide a home filled with warmth, stability, laughter, and unconditional love. Our home is one where bedtime songs are sung every night, where scraped knees are met with comfort and a bandaid, and where achievements—big and small—are celebrated with joy. We promise to nurture curiosity, encourage dreams, and support your child in becoming exactly who they are meant to be.
We promise honesty. Your child will always know their story. We will speak of you with gratitude and respect, always. We promise to honor whatever level of openness you are comfortable with, both now and as time goes on. We welcome communication through letters, photos and scheduled visits.
Most of all, we promise to love this child fiercely and unconditionally for the rest of our lives.
If you have any questions or would like to get to know us better, it would be our pleasure to meet you. We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Our Extended Family
Most of our family on both sides lives within an hour of us and we see them frequently. Danielle's brother and his family live in the same town as us and they have two kids. During the summer months when the kids are out of school, Danielle and her sister-in-law will get the kids together and take them to the zoo, children's museum, splash pads or playgrounds.
Both sets of grandparents are highly active in our lives. They never miss a school play, concert, or game! We usually take a road trip once a year with each set of grandparents to the mountains, the lake, or the beach.
Our Faith
Our Christian faith is central to the way we live our lives. We're very active in our local church, where Danielle volunteers in the nursery and Matt teaches Sunday school and we both serve in the Awana club on Wednesday nights. We aim to show our kids what it looks like to live out our faith in all we do. We want to glorify God by loving, serving, and caring for others.
Our church community includes many adoptive families and reflects a vast diversity of backgrounds and cultures. If your child is of a different race than us, they will grow up surrounded by families who celebrate those differences, helping them feel seen, valued, and connected.
Our Traditions
Friday night is pizza and movie night at our house! The kids get to spread out on the floor and eat while we watch a movie, then we make movie theater style popcorn in our popcorn machine. It's a weekly tradition we always look forward to!
We also love celebrating holidays, and we try to do things to make each season special. Here are a few things we like to do:
-Going to a pumpkin patch and carving pumpkins in the fall
-Making a thankful tree in November and adding one thing we are thankful for each day
-Listening to Christmas music while decorating the tree--each year the kids get a special ornament of their own to hang
-Celebrating Easter with both sides of the family joining together for a meal
-Having cookouts with the family on Memorial Day and 4th of July
Our Dog
We have a red Labrador named Clifford. Even in his old age he is very energetic and loves playing with the kids! He is very sweet and protective with them. He's always slept on the floor next to the bassinet whenever we have brought a new baby home from the hospital. Cliff is always by our side and is showing no signs of slowing down.
In Closing
Thanks so much for taking time to get to know our family. We hope and pray you'll consider us as adoptive parents for your baby. We promise to raise your child in a home where they understand how much they are loved and valued. We welcome an open adoption and communication through letters, photos, and scheduled visits, if you desire. We look forward to getting to know you!
