Hi! We’re a fun, loving family who like to try new things, love God and family, and doing things together. Playing sports, traveling, hiking, and camping are some of our favorite things. We live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and our lives are centered around being involved, active parents. After we had our son we found out we could not have more children biologically and we feel led to grow our family through adoption. We’d love to get to know you!

Our Story

We met when we were both working at the video store in our small town. We just clicked instantly and have been best friends ever since! Now we’ve been happily married 12 years.

Together we enjoy:
• Playing sports together, like golf, softball, and soccer
• Road trips to Idaho to see Mindy’s family
• Exploring Ocean Shores or the mountains
• Vacations with family and friends
• Attending church as a family
• Hosting board game nights
• Playing video games with our son

About Mindy

According to Nathan: Mindy is beautiful and funny (she has the best sense of humor!). She’s a wonderful wife and mother who makes sure we know how much she loves us and that we’re taken care of.

Mindy likes to:
• Coach sports
• Play competitive soccer
• Hike
• Travel or go camping
• Volunteer in the classroom

About Nathan

According to Mindy: Nathan is hard-working, fun, outgoing, and a talented musician (he’s been playing and writing music most of his life!). He loves being a dad and is a wonderful husband and friend.

Nathan likes to:
• Play on the worship team at church
• Write songs
• Read historically based books
• Relax around a campfire
• Go on mission trips

Family Life

Our son, Jaxson, is 9 years old. He’s a kind, loving, creative, and fun boy who loves to be the life of the party. He’s into Taekwondo, video games and Sonic the Hedgehog, acting, drawing, playing musical instruments, and reading. Jaxson has wanted to be a big brother since he could talk and he will be a great big brother with a big heart!

Extended Family: Most of our family lives within 30 minutes of us and our mothers are only 5 minutes away. We also have loved ones in Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, and Idaho. Between us we have 7 nieces and nephews. We love taking trips to Idaho to see Mindy’s sister and family. Mindy’s sister and her husband adopted their 3 children and are hoping to adopt again, so it’s been great to go through this adoption journey with them. Everyone in our family is excited about our plans to adopt!

Our Home in Washington

We live within a short drive to Seattle in a beautiful town where we can see the Cascade Mountains from our front door. It only takes a couple hours to get to the beach too. We live in a small town with lakes, hiking trails, and camping all nearby. Our house has 3 bedrooms and the yard wraps around each side of us, so there’s a lot of space to play and be outside.

Our Promise

We believe in raising our kids with a moral compass and a good sense to make wise decisions. As parents, we hope our children will grow up learning to work hard and pursue their passions and dreams. We also want them to value good relationships and putting family first. Education is important to us and we will help our children to make the most of their schooling. We will always be our kids’ biggest supporters!

It’s an honor to be considered as adoptive parents for your child and we promise to:
• Shower him or her with all of our love and acceptance.
• Do whatever we can to provide opportunities for a great education.
• Encourage him or her to explore what makes them truly unique as a person.
• Share updates and future contact with you, if you’d like.
• Help them understand our family’s adoption story and how much you mean to us.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

With love, Nathan & Mindy
