Watch Our Video
Bonjour! We are Pat and Annie, a creative, adventurous, nurturing Christian couple from Washington! Our faith in Jesus is at the center of our lives and marriage; we are so excited to share our love of Jesus with our child. We love to spend time outdoors, exploring and traveling, and enjoying life to the fullest. We have the best circle of family and friends, both local and international, and are so grateful for their constant presence and support in our lives!
If you would like, we welcome having an open adoption with you and staying in contact with photos, letters, and visits. Whatever makes you most comfortable! We are excited to meet you and learn more about the life you desire for your sweet little one.
About Us
We’ve been happily married for 8 years and love being active outdoors together – running, biking, hiking, gardening, or simply enjoying the beautiful Washington weather! We also love to explore new places and have been to France, La Reunion, Andorra, and Canada. We also love visiting Annie’s family in Oregon and California. We are so excited to share our love of travel, exploration, and learning about new cultures with your child!
As teachers, we both have a passion for education and learning. Music is also very important to us! Pat plays harmonica and goes to jams with other blues musicians while Annie plays the piano. There is often music playing in our home or classrooms throughout the day.
Our family plan has always included adoption! Annie has two cousins who joined our family through adoption and they are such blessings in our lives. We deeply cherish them! We are expecting our first biological child at the end of November; we remain so ready and excited to grow our family through adoption and look forward to sharing our love with your child.
Meet Pat!
I am a kindergarten teacher. I’m French and was raised on the beautiful island of La Reunion! I love my island and its cultural diversity with people from Africa, India, France, China, Madagascar, and more.
Annie says: Pat is a generous, thoughtful, and adventurous person with a heart for others–all things that make him a fantastic kindergarten teacher! He is so good with kids–our niece and nephews adore him! I love Pat’s sense of humor (he’s always making me laugh!), his ability to be silly and laugh at himself, his passion for learning new things, and how deeply he loves. Pat will be an exceptional father and looks forward to sharing his love of the outdoors and music with your child!
Pat enjoys:
- long bike rides
- hiking
- gardening
- any activity that gets him outdoors!
- landscape photographer
- music and playing harmonica
Meet Annie!
I am a 2nd grade teacher!
Pat says: Annie is joyful, kind, and compassionate to others. She has a bright smile, loves Jesus, and is constantly encouraging and uplifting to everyone around her. She truly has a passion for teaching and positively impacting the lives of her students. Annie LOVES all holidays and welcomes each changing season with enthusiasm! I know that Annie will be the most loving, fun, nurturing and sweet mom to your child. She is so eager to share her love of music, reading, and celebrating life!
Annie enjoys:
- baking sweet treats

- learning about health and wellness
- decorating our home for the seasons
- spending lots of time with family and friends
- playing the piano (inherited from her Nana)

Home Sweet Home - Washington
We are fortunate to live in beautiful Washington in our charming and cozy home. Annie affectionately calls it our cottage. We have enjoyed making it perfect for us (we just repainted the exterior!) We live here with our two sweet cats, Olive and Luna. They’re the best–so funny, active, and affectionate! We are incredibly grateful for them.
We love spending cozy evenings at home with a fire crackling in our wood-burning stove. We love our magical garden! It’s large, full of beautiful flowers and organic vegetables, with a large apple tree that’s perfect for climbing. We are excited to grow our family here!
Here is what we love about where we live:
- It’s a smaller town, but we’re close to a big city with lots of great restaurants, theatres, and culture.
- We love walking the trail by our house to our quaint downtown streets! Annie often walks to our community library.
- Our neighbors are amazing. We live near other young families with kids, who are often riding bikes or drawing with chalk in the cul-de-sac in front of our house! There is a feeling of community and looking out for one another that makes us feel so safe.
- We are close to many walking/running/biking trails and hiking areas! It’s the ideal location–so easy to drive to downtown Seattle, go play on the beach, find a great camping spot in the woods, or go snowshoeing in the mountains. There are so many outdoor activities available to us throughout the year!
- It’s absolutely beautiful! From our living room, we have a view of the most majestic mountain!
Our Families
Our families are loving, energetic, fun, and are all thrilled to welcome your child with open arms and open hearts!
Fun fact: We are both middle children, with an older and younger sister!
Pat’s family is spread across the globe. His grandma lives in Paris, and his parents live in the south of France. Both of Pat’s sisters live on the island of La Reunion with their families. We love seeing them during our summer breaks! His extended family in La Reunion is large and diverse, including roots from Africa, India, Hong Kong, China, Ecuador, and Jamaica.
We live in the same region as Annie’s family and get together often! Our family is very sentimental. We love traditions, like watching The Goonies when we’re vacationing on the Oregon Coast or singing along to Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol. We also love making new traditions with our nieces and nephews! For example, Annie now makes Christmas cookies every year with our oldest nephew. It’s such a delight to see them as they grow and learn. We can’t wait to add another cousin to the mix!
Our Promise
We promise to raise your child to know how profoundly they are loved by us, by you, and by Jesus. We will honor and respect your position in this family, and hold space for you to participate in the way you feel most comfortable! We will embrace your child’s heritage and unique background, as well as teach them the beauty of different cultures! As teachers, we promise to share our family values by encouraging curiosity, lifelong learning, and education. We will also share our love of adventure and travel with them and promise to fiercely love your child unconditionally!

Music
We are a music-loving family! Annie's dad is a music pastor and her mom is a gifted singer, so music has always played a significant role in her life. She loves to play piano (and maybe recorder if she's feeling playful)! Annie also loves to sing, to the point where she sometimes sings without realizing it.
La Reunion, where Pat grew up, is rich in unique musical diversity. Pat loves to share music with his students! He recently bought a djembe for his classroom to teach his kindergarteners percussion skills. He's been playing the blues harmonica for over 20 years.
We often have music playing somewhere in our home and enjoy a wide variety of genres. We are so excited to share our love of music with your child!
Our Faith
Our belief in Jesus Christ is the anchor to our souls. His steadfast love, His grace, and His faithfulness to us throughout our lives are our foundation. We believe God is leading us to adoption and trust His sovereignty in our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future.” We hold tightly to this promise and believe it just as firmly for you as we do for ourselves!
In Closing
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We hope that we clearly showed our love for one another, for the life we live together, and our love for you and your baby! We look forward to sharing our lives with your little one and sharing with them our passion for the great outdoors, music, and learning. We would love to keep in touch with you at your comfort level through letters, pictures, and visits.
We pray God's love holds you, that you experience His all-surpassing peace as you consider your options. He is for you and with you always!
