Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We are excited to open our hearts and home to your baby. It is our heart’s desire to be a united front for our children and to give them a loving stable environment where they feel accepted and loved. We look forward to family bike rides, trips to the ocean, building memories at the zoo and teaching our child about God. We are so grateful for the opportunity to become parents and would love to speak with you!
The first time we met was at a diner for breakfast and it wasn’t long and we knew God had brought us together. After dating for 3 years, we were married, and still love to have breakfast out. As we are unable to conceive naturally, we are excited to grow our family through adoption.
We love going on adventures together and with our dog’s , Bear. We enjoy long weekends visiting new places, trips to the zoo, going to local nature centers and enjoying the aquarium. We also love bowling, bike riding, hiking, mini golf, cooking together and making improvements around the house. For us, church is not just for Sunday, it is a way of life. We are excited to share our lives and adventures with our children.
About Melina (by Tom)
Melina is an amazing woman. She is kind, caring, fun loving and is always thinking of others first. She loves surprising me with little thoughtful gifts and even notes on my lunch bag that can brighten anyone’s day! She enjoys making new and fun dinner meals and baking goodies. She is always keeping up on events around town to attend. There is never a dull day!
Melina enjoys being creative through art projects and expressing herself through writing. She is excited to share her love of swimming with our child and, having been a nanny for 12 years, I know that she will be an amazing mother.
About Tom (by Melina)
Tom is a loving, family oriented man who, even after a long day at work, will come home and be at my side helping to prepare dinner and clean dishes. Tom is always able to put a smile on my face and make me laugh. He has a real kindness about him and truly has a heart for others. He is giving and caring to those around him and never hesitates to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Tom loves sports, the San Francisco 49rs are his favorite football team! He also loves all things cars and enjoys attending car shows. I know he will be a great father and be very involved in our child’s life. He is looking forward to teaching our child about God and helping them explore and learn about what interests them.
Our Home in Oregon
Our home is a welcoming, loving, and joyful place to enter. We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood, where we all know our neighbors. Our home is a spacious 3 bedroom that we love to entertain in. Your child will have their own room, and space throughout the house for their toys, art projects, and all that they enjoy! We have an open backyard that is perfect for a sandbox, kiddie pool, or a little play set to be installed as your child grows.
We have a very close-knit extended family that we love spending time with. We enjoy getting together, at least twice a year, to go on our big family camping trip. Thanksgiving is spent around the table with laughter and delicious homemade goodies while October is when we all gather for our yearly Harvest Party and share homemade items such as jam, soap, chapstick and so much more. Christmas is also a very treasured season. We love to fill the house with festive decoration. It is very important for us to remember the reason we have to celebrate, and that is the birth of Jesus.
We value family and feel blessed. Our time together is filled with laughter, fun times, and genuine love for each other. Our whole family is excited to welcome your child into our traditions and shower them with love.
We look forward to sharing our love of God, nature, and family with your child. We promise that your child will grow up knowing their story and where they came from. We will help them embrace their ethnic culture with language, music, and food! We promise that they will be loved and cherished every moment of every day. They will be raised in a home where we will be supported in all that they do and help them grow to their full potential. We are open to staying in contact with you through letters, photos, and visits if you would be comfortable!

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
Tom is so excited to share his love for sports and cars. His football team is the San Francisco 49rs. He also loves all things cars and enjoys going to car shows. Tom's dream car would be a yellow Corvette. He is also looking forward to finding out the interests of our child and helping them explore and learn about what interests them. He loves learning new things, and can't wait to share life with a child.
Melina is looking forward to sharing her love of swimming. She has always been like a fish in the water and loves to spend time at the pool, river, ocean, and lakes. Melina also enjoys being creative through art projects and expressing herself through writing.
We enjoy time with our dog, Bear. He is a fun puppy who loves children. We love taking him to the park and going on walks with him.
We love adventures together. We both really enjoy time at the coast and seeing the sights of Oregon. We try to make long weekends together out visiting new places. We also enjoy bowling, bike riding, hiking, mini golf, cooking together and making improvements around the house. We are excited to share our adventures and fun with our children.
Our Christian Faith is the most important aspect of our lives. We love the church we belong to. Our pastor preaches from the scripture, and the people are very open and show the love of Christ to all. The church is very child oriented with wonderful programs for all ages. We are involved in the church by giving of our time and talents. We are both on the Welcoming Committee and enjoy behind the scenes service. We belong to a small group where we meet up and enjoy fellowship with others. We strive to make our home life reflect our Christian beliefs. For us, Church is not just for Sunday but is a way to live.
Our Musical Interest
Melina enjoys playing the piano. On Sunday mornings you will hear the sound of the piano playing hymns as the family gets ready to head to church. We both enjoy listening to a variety of music that includes Christian, Pop, and Rock. Melina loves singing along to Oldies, and anything from musicals.
We go on at least 2 yearly camping trips that involve all the extended family. Camping trips are a lot of fun for all ages. From the babies to the grandparents, we always have an awesome time camping. Time is enjoyed sleeping under the stars, singing around the campfire, making and eating yummy food, swimming in the lake, relaxing with a good book, volleyball and croquet, board games, riding bikes, and a never-ending supply of laughter. Our family is excited to share in all of this with a new child.
We also gather for every holiday. Our Thanksgiving tradition is homemade pizza on Thursday with our immediate family. Then on Saturday, we have our huge Thanksgiving meal with all the extended family. The food is deliciously homemade, and we always reflect on the last year and remember all the reasons we have to be thankful. Christmas is also a very treasured season. We love to fill the house with festive decoration and spend a lot of time with family throughout December. While we enjoy the traditions of Christmas, it is very important for us to remember the reason we have to celebrate, and that is the birth of Jesus. One special thing we enjoy doing on Christmas Eve is gifting each other, and our niece and nephews a special tree ornament that reflects the last year. We can't wait to start the tradition with our own children.
In October we have our yearly Harvest Party, where family members share homemade things with each other such as jam, soap, chapstick, anything grown in the garden, homemade goodies, etc., and we make usually over 20 gallons of apple cider, using a renovated old cider press, for people to take home. It's become a treasured family tradition for all ages.
Thank you for looking over our profile. We hope it has given you a little insight into what we have to offer your child. We are excited to help your child grow to their full potential as they learn and explore life. We look forward to building new family traditions together in the coming years. We are excited to get to know you and hope to hear from you soon!
