Tyler & Cassidy

Hello from California! We are both originally from Texas, but the military likes to keep our lives interesting. Over our time here so far, we’ve embraced the California life—the sunshine, ocean breeze, and amazing weather that gives us the chance to do the things we love almost year-round. Whether we’re hiking, relaxing at the beach, or spending cozy evenings at home, we value our quality time together and always find joy in making memories. We are excited to become parents through adoption, and can’t wait to meet you!

Who We Are

We’re laid-back, love to laugh, and value the time we get to share with family and friends. We enjoy spending time together and making the most of everyday life. Tyler serves in the military as a flight surgeon, and Cassidy works from home as a mental health counselor, which means we both spend our days helping and caring for others. After the workday, you can usually find us spending time together and with our dogs. Cassidy plans to scale back her hours to a minimum so she can fully focus on being a stay-at-home mom once we adopt.

We both feel God placed the desire to be parents on both of our hearts for as long as we can remember. After a few heartbreaking years of infertility, we began to have the conversations about what we feel are our next steps to growing our family. At the heart of everything we do is our faith, which is what has led us to fully embrace open adoption. We are deeply thankful to God for preparing us and providing for us on this journey, and we are so excited to grow our family through adoption. We hope to share all our love and joy with a child, and we are grateful for the opportunity to connect with you.

Meet Cassidy

According to Tyler: Cassidy is gentle, compassionate, and has dedicated her career to listening to and guiding others through tough circumstances in their lives. She enjoys spending time at the beach, shopping, and decorating our home. She is a loving spouse, constant encourager, and brings joy and the fun to our family. She has longed for the day that she can be a mother, and looks forward to raising our children to dream big, cherish family, and love God!

Meet Tyler

According to Cassidy: Tyler strives every day to follow Jesus, and his heart for God is what I love the most. He is also joyful, generous, and the most patient and intentional person I know. To know Tyler is to feel seen and cared for. I’ve always admired his humility, creativity, and drive. As a doctor, Tyler is dedicated, hard-working, and even still prioritizes what truly matters–his family. Tyler enjoys the outdoors playing golf and tennis, walking our dogs, and going on hikes. He is stoked to have a future little tennis buddy! In the ten years I have known him, Tyler has proven to be a fun-loving, authentic, stable partner that I can’t wait to build a family with. His love for coffee runs deep, his dad jokes are off the charts, and he makes the best baked potato soup!

Our Family

Both of our families predominately live in Texas. Due to military moves, our home usually is the destination for family trips, and we enjoy hosting both sides of our families. We are both very close to our families and even though we live far away right now, we still either travel to or have family come visit every couple of months. When we are visiting Cassidy’s family, we are sure to eat well and have a great time laughing and spending quality time with loved ones. One of Cassidy’s favorite things to do while she is visiting her family back home is look back on old family photos. When we’re with Tyler’s family we are sure to stay active playing pickle ball, disc golf, and relax by the pool. We also enjoy playing classic board games with our families which we have included in our own quality time together. Both sides of our families wholeheartedly support our adoption plans. Our parents especially are so thrilled to welcome their future grandchild!

Our Home in California

We currently live in a spacious 3-bedroom home on a military base. We have a big backyard with a covered patio. There are several dog parks, play grounds, and a swimming pool that are all within walking distance of our subdivision. Our neighborhood is secure, safe, very family friendly, and surrounded by military family support and community.

We have two one-year-old Australian Shepherds, Onyx and Cobalt, who bring us so much joy and keep us active daily. They are playful, smart, goofy, and both very sweet with kids!

Our Promise

We will strive to teach them right and wrong with patience as we guide them into finding their purpose, and give them every opportunity to explore their individual interests and gifts.
