We are excited to start the process for adopting our second child. We are happy that our son will have the special experience of gaining a new sibling. We believe this bond between them will last forever. We look forward to making many joyful memories as our family grows. We picture fun vacations like trips to Disney World, hiking together, boating in New England, and simple joys like going to museums, parks, and the beach.

Most of all, your comfort is vital to us in this process. We are completely open to maintaining whatever level of communication we agree is best after getting to know one another and talking over what contact you would like.

About Us

Over our 10-year marriage, we have experienced abundant joy. We built our relationship on a strong friendship, sharing common passions while also celebrating our differences that enrich us both. We struggled with infertility, making our path to parenthood difficult. However, we found profound happiness when we adopted our son in May 2019, starting the sometimes winding but always rewarding journey of raising a child together. We have a meaningful connection with his birth mother and relatives. Though separated by distance, we came together to commemorate the promising occasion of his birth through adoption.

As a family, we highly value spending quality time together, prioritizing shared experiences whether at home or on trips near and far to places like Connecticut, Vermont, Oklahoma and Long Island. These times, filled with laughter and connection, include enjoying comedy shows in the city, relaxed nights eating pizza at home, and trying new cuisines together at local restaurants.

We truly appreciate the rich lifestyle that New England offers. We look forward to the promise of future adventures and precious memories as our family continues to grow.

About Colleen (by Joe)

Having grown up in Massachusetts, Colleen discovered from a young age her talent for Irish Step Dance. This led her to compete in contests nationwide and globally. As a mother now, Colleen wholeheartedly devotes herself to caring for our son each day.

Colleen throws her energy into all of her passions in life. As a talented Irish Step Dance teacher, she delights in passing on the lively rhythms and movements to adolescent students, building their confidence and bringing them joy through dance. Her expertise also makes her a well-respected Physical Therapist that athletes and dancers of all backgrounds turn to for caring guidance on injury recovery and reaching their goals.

Away from work, Colleen prioritizes caring for our son and living in the moment, whether through peaceful afternoon reading, enjoying lighthearted television like MasterChef and Guy’s Grocery Games for a good laugh, or getting creative with arts and crafts projects on a Sunday afternoon. Colleen cherishes sharing the little delights of each day with family, yet still makes time for personal growth through reading and watching informative shows. Her patience, generosity of spirit, and gift for storytelling endear her deeply to all who know her.

About Joe (by Colleen)

Joe continually prioritizes his family, demonstrating unrelenting dedication as both a husband and father to our son. He thrives in life’s unexpected moments, treasuring the diverse experiences, memories, and people he meets along the way.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys taking on odd jobs around the house, whether or not he’s capable of completing them successfully. He’ll eagerly search YouTube for DIY tutorials or make multiple trips to the hardware store after buying the wrong supplies. But he always tackles these household projects with enthusiasm.

Joe, a thoughtful man who enjoys life’s simple pleasures, looks forward to teaching basic values like friendship, leadership, and independence to our children. He eagerly anticipates welcoming another child into our lives to share in these virtues and our collective happiness.

Our Son, and Family

Our energetic four-and-a-half-year-old son is thrilled to become a big brother soon. His playful humor fills our days with laughter, while his endless curiosity and deep love of learning constantly inspires us. He started school early at age three, attending elementary school full-time. He loves expanding his knowledge, both in class and out exploring the world. We believe sibling bonds can have profound meaning, and we look forward to our kids forming close, lifelong relationships.

Our extended family – including parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins – lives across New England, with some in New York and Oklahoma too. Though spread out, we make sure to stay connected through daily photo shares, texts, emails and group messages!

We deeply value the relationship with our son’s birth mother. We regularly update her with pictures and videos showing his growth, highlighting the meaningful bond we share across any distance.

Our Home in Massachusettes

We live in a charming, close-knit town in Massachusetts where community spirit is deeply valued. Our large 10-room colonial house enjoys a great location. We’re surrounded by amazing food, from the savory Italian cuisine of Providence to Boston’s excellent steaks and seafood, a true paradise for cooking enthusiasts. Plenty of kids’ attractions like zoos, water parks and museums are also just a short drive away.

Education is emphasized in our community. An elementary school lies just a quarter mile away, the middle school half a mile, and the high school just two miles from home —together comprising one of the top-ranked districts statewide.

Our kids will have their own private bedrooms side-by-side, striking the right balance of closeness and personal space. Our home is ideal for spending quality family time together. Whether we’re playing in the large, fenced yard, snuggling by the cozy fireplace in our sun-filled living room, or hosting barbecues and movie nights out on the back deck or by the fire pit, there are so many chances to make treasured memories.

Our Promise

Thank you deeply for considering us as possible parents for your child. We believe that the right timing can guide us to profound moments.

We highly value adoption, seeing it as an act of hope and love’s unlimited potential. Here, your child will discover a supportive environment focused on growth, learning and becoming a thoughtful, responsible person.

Communicating openly with you is very important to us, always respecting your comfort level and wishes. This journey holds such meaning, and we feel truly honored at the idea of playing this role in your child’s life.

Wishing you warmness and peace,

Colleen and Joe

More About Our Family

Our Special Interests

Colleen holds a profound affection for Irish Step Dancing, which has always been close to her heart. She cherishes the memories of performing on wooden floors and the lifelong friendships she developed through this art form. Meanwhile, Joe's fascination with meteorology runs deep, and he has always harbored a dream of becoming a weatherman. He enjoys testing his skills by trying to predict the weather days and weeks in advance, even to this day.

Our Faith

Although we were both raised Catholic, our parents gave us the freedom to determine our own level of engagement with our faith. Colleen was brought up attending church every Sunday, while Joe typically only attended Easter and Christmas mass. However, after meeting Colleen, Joe rediscovered his faith and began attending church more regularly. We started attending Sunday mass together, often making it a fun day out by enjoying brunch in the city beforehand. We continue to maintain a close relationship with the priest who officiated our wedding and make every effort to attend church whenever our schedules permit.

A Letter from Our Son's Birth Mother

"My adoption journey has been a blessing, as I have had the privilege of witnessing my child thrive in a loving, nurturing, and supportive environment. Joe and Colleen have gone above and beyond in providing Padraig with a life filled with joy, wonder, stability, and security that surpasses anything I could have hoped for. They regularly send me photo and video updates, allowing me to witness firsthand the compassionate and happy home that Padraig is being raised in, with love and acceptance regardless of circumstances. Joe and Colleen have welcomed not just my child, but also me and my family, into their lives with open arms, and I will always be grateful for their kindness and humility." ~A

More About Our Home

Our home is our palace, where we love to unwind by the cozy fireplace and indulge in binge-watching shows like Master Chef, Hell's Kitchen, and Bar Rescue. In the summer months, we spend warm evenings on the deck with ice-cold tea and cheeseburgers in hand. And when snowstorms hit, we turn up the heat, snuggle up under blankets, and enjoy the warmth and comfort of being together as a family.

In Closing

Thank you for taking the time to consider our family. We are fully dedicated to providing your child endless care and affection. We believe strongly in the meaning of adoption. If you choose us, your child will be welcomed wholeheartedly. Together, we seek to make a warm and supportive home. We want to encourage individual growth as well. We promise to help your child mature into a successful and caring person. It would be an honor to expand our family with your blessing. We are hopeful for the chance. Thank you again for thinking of us.

With gratitude,
Colleen and Joe
